How's everyone doing. I'm new to the forum. So I got a question that I need help with. I wanna get a gt but I know ford will change the motor soon. Is it better to wait or should I go straight in and get a 2016? Has anyone heard about any changes coming for 2017 mustang? Thank you

No significant changes to the engine for 2017. Buy a '16 if you're ready to do so.

Then next year you might just say well it will change for sure in 2018, you can do that every year for the rest of your life, it will change at one point and you will have something outdated, its the way it is so just go for it

Merry Christmas to you, too. And welcome to M6G. Be sure to post up photos of your '16 when you get it

Theres a lot of guys on here waiting until 2030 just in case they have a flying mustang with a 39 speed transmission by then.
So True.

OP - Buy the 2016 now, and when the next round of big changes happen, wait until 1-year after that release and move on another new one.

I bought my 2015 back in December 2014, have enjoyed 24,000 miles so far, and just scheduled my Roush SuperCharger install at Brenspeed. I plan to keep my 2015 until 1-year after the next big round of changes, which will likely be a 2019 or 2020 model.

No harm in waiting a month or two to see what Ford may offer for the 17. They may throw in a new color or some feature you may have wanted.

There will always be better and faster cars, however you are not getting younger.
