Looks legit to me lol and i bet intake temps are better then most aftermarket lol. Only think that might be an issue is that sensor placement.

A ticking time bomb ;)
No hate here you're trying something different and its looking nice. I'm sure you understood that if it didn't work out you would be okay with that result because you didn't invest much into it but this looks like a success.

missing dyno charts where it gains 20 horsepower.
Power should be rated in mullets.

Just kidding nice work OP,
'Just a note that one of the benefits of most intakes is losing the turbulance that accordion style oem hoses use which cause restriction at high speed. Get rid of those with some Silicone (or plain rubber hose to keep it "Redneck') and you will see some improved flow.

Can you put a sock on that filter so it does not suck up water ?

Nice diy.

Is the "$25 3" 90 electrical conduit(emt)" aluminum?

And how did you seal the connection pt from the stock piece to your new piece?
It's galvanized. Pipe and filter are a touch(less than a pound) heavier than OEM unit. I used a hose clamp. OEM clamp was to flimsy. Outside diameter on conduit was 3 1/2". ID on OEM accordian boot was 3 3/4", so I just had to tighten up hose clamp a bit.

Water vapor should cool air charge temp.:headbang:
There is a protective cover over the filters preventing the intake from allowing the turbo to suck water into the turbo and the air intake system and causing Hydrolock ..

An ounce of prevention ..
