I wasn't really happy with the vinyl stickers out there to cover our airbag visor stickers so I found these people online http://www.sunvisorsolutions.com and ordered an 8 X 10 sheet of Ebony 3M adhesive backed headliner type material and cut it to size. Sorry for the quality of the pictures as I had to take them close up. The flash washes out the color a little as well. It matches close enough for me and if they fade or I don't like them I can just peel them off. It was only about 14 bucks shipped for the sheet and you get enough to make the 2 you need with a little left over. They have other "blacks" but I tried to match it to the closest one which I felt was ebony. Beforehand I did buy the color match card to try to match it closest. I "radiused" the edges as well because the sheet comes with "radiused" edges and I just think it looks nicer that way. Sorry about my craftsmanship (or lack thereof) as I did it all with a straight-edge ruler and a sharp pair of scissors. Here are 3 quickie pics. The texture of the material is close but not quite. Personally I like it better than a vinyl sticker but that is all preference. So if you don't like the vinyl out there, here is another option. :)

You are going to make me pull off my vinyl stickers! That looks so much better!
Yea that does look really good
Thanks guys. It takes a little work with the measuring and cutting (they don't cut to size I asked), but I personally think it looks a little more "finished" than the vinyl stickers. I just wish we didn't have to have the stupid stickers on there in the first place, yuck.

This vendor is from my home state here in Illinois as well, not too far from me. They have been good to me so far. :)

"Free Agent": which 'black' did you order that best matched Ebony? My vert is coming in Ebony/Raven/Black.

That looks really good! So this at 4.75x6.25 should do it? (actual size is approx 4.25x5)

http://shop.sunvisorsolutions.com/2350-Ebony-Pair-2350-Ebony-Pair.htm

Our stickers are 125mm by 105mm. (Works out to be 4.92 inches by 4.13 inches) I just bought the 8 inch by 10 inch full sheet and cut mine to a 130 mm by 110 mm size so that they would just cover the visor stickers. The size you have listed should work and you could cut them down or just use the whole thing I suppose although that 4.75 inches height might cover the visor top to bottom, I'll have to check the measurements again.

Texture and color is VERY close but not quite dead on. Good enough for me and the flash in the pics makes it look even more so than in natural light if you ask me.

Cool! (And it does look to be pretty cool there in IL, too, at 40°!)

I just ordered the color chart - just in case the 50th AP interior is slightly different... it's worth $1.50. :)

"Free Agent": which 'black' did you order that best matched Ebony? My vert is coming in Ebony/Raven/Black.
I felt the Ebony they offer #2350 was the closest match (coincidentally to our Ebony interior). I did buy the Fabric Color Chart they offer beforehand and try to match up the 4 blacks to see which my eyes thought was the closest match. The chart was like $1.60 shipped I think. The black 1559 seemed a bit too dark. The Perfect Black 1575 seemed a hair too light and the Charcoal Black 2469 seemed to light as well. I could be wrong but I took a lot of time to try to match it the closest by laying the colors right next to the visor and seeing which one matched best. Just a note, it is not dead on in color, this is not factory Ford material, but for me it is close enough and better than just a vinyl sticker. The texture of the material is very close to that of the visor as well, another benefit in my book. :)

A good idea for anyone interested. Best to match it up to your eyes first (or if the materials of our interiors are different shades). Best not trust your computer monitor either. The real swatches included are the actual colors and fabrics.

I'm going to do this for my other vehicles eventually as well if I can match colors close enough. :)

Yep it looks like they leave the area possibly for the winter until May. Weird business model if you ask me. I guess I just lucked out and got mine before they took off.

Heat Gun to remove visor stickers...

I've never removed the stickers from a Ford visor, but I had 'tried' to remove similar stickers from fabric surfaces before. Usually some of the sticker adhesive remains on the fabric and is nearly impossible to remove without leaving a visual trace. However, the sticker area "patches" mentioned by another member could still be used to cover the area if you can't remove all of the adhesive using the heat gun.

I did remove mine on Sunday. Used a hair dryer very hot and all glue came with sticker. Then buffed the pressed area with GooGone and micro towel.....can not tell where the sticker had been....very clean, J
