Grill stang badge delete?

How easy is it to rip out the badge from the front grill for a clean delete look?

Taking the horse badge off is probably pretty easy, but it will look horrible because the grille is molded with a horse-shaped recess in the center.

You can see the badge recess here...it's even worse that I thought because the honeycomb is blocked out around the badge

I don't understand why they put on a huge badge on the grill of such a performance car. It kills air flow.

I see what you are saying, but there is still a whole lot of front surface area compared to some other performance cars.

For what it is worth. I was anxious to remove or black paint the badges on my car, now that I've had it for a little bit I like that one bit of chrome on every side and they are going to stay oem. Badges have grown on me but the PP wheels which I did like at first I don't like so much anymore, plenty good for winter wheels so that is their destiny. Did replace the exhaust with Ford Racing/Borla shiny black & I really like that.

Several members have blacked out the badge using Dip-It. Doesn't look to bad. You can still see the pony if you look hard, but black-on-black pretty much blanks out the obvious badge. I am going to do the same when my TY EB arrives.

I'll just put in an aftermarket grill as soon as they sell a non-badge version. I think it'll look much better that way.

Except the Pony on the front is what makes it a Mustang. Except Fox bodies, that's the identifying trait of Mustangs. It's the reason why a lot of people buy Mustangs, for that heritage and tradition that's wrapped up in the pony badge on the front grille. That's sort of like asking why they ruin the lines of Rolls Royces with that Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament they slap on all of them.
