2018 GT PP1 M6 high rev lock again ?

Guys,

Since I had the car my gears are like butter in normal driving.
Up to 6000-6500 rpm it’s easy.

But when I push to 7000-7400 going to the next gear requires a lot of effort on the gear lever especially from 2 to 3. There is also like a small griding noise when doing so, when the clutch bites (is it a noise related to the twin clutch / dual mass flywheel I don’t know...)

I know this was an issue on 15-17. It seems it is still the case on some 18...

Do you have this issue on your 18 ? My car has 3200 miles and does that since new...

Crappy shifter and OEM fluid.

Start with the fluid first see how that feels.
Yep.

Symptoms of body mounted shifter. BG Syncroshift II fluid (which is approved to the Ford specification) and MGW makes for shifting bliss.

2015 has issues with this? I shift at 7800, and it shifts flawlessly, best shifting trans I've ever owned. Stock fluid and clutch, but I do drive the car at least 10 miles before the beatings begin. Still tempted to try mgw shifter and change the trans oil though. I've heard my clutch is a ticking time bomb at that rpm, I have slipped it a few times on the 4 to 5 shift.

Are you waiting until the oil is up to temp?

I like the MT-82 in my '14 GT. Only issue really is tough 2nd when cold, for like 5 minutes.

I put an MGW on soon after getting the car. Best mod ever.

blowfish shifter bracket or mgw shifter. Problem solved.

Fluid changing will not help this.

Edit: The 18 will probably have the same thing going on due to the shifter design of the MT 82
