Was wondering how difficult it would be to remove the factory spoiler.. or if it would be possible to get it done... would there be holes where it used to be, etc?

Should be rather simple. There also should be bolt holes in your deck lid so you would need to plug those. If you are not planning on wanting a spoiler, I would just do the factory delete.

Won't know for certain until someone gets one and takes it off but I suspect it's bolted on. Which means body work to fill and paint. Or plug it with plastic body colored plugs and silicon to prevent water ingress lol

Yeah, when i ordered my car i was told that the spoiler is just a "small fin" that really isnt noticable, but not having the spoiler makes the rear look so much cleaner in my opinion.

I didnt dare change my order either, in fear of getting more delayed lol.

A lot of times these decklid style ones are just stuck on. I don't think we can know for sure until someone gets one but I hope that's the case.

Anyone ever find out if there are holes in the deck lid?

If it is bolted and double sided taped on (which seems a little silly in my opinion because one is good enough, two is just redundant. Here's how I'd do it.

To get the spoiler off, of course you have to have access to the bolts and then unbolt it, and then you can use a high test fishing line and use a sawing motion to break the double sided tape loose.

Now the fun begins.......getting the tape off of your car. I bought a tool from a local body supply shop that you use on your electric/cordless/whatever you've got drill. These are what body shops use.

It looks like this:

Whatever you do, don't use your finger to roll the tape off. I did that before getting the eraser wheel and tore through three or four layers of skin on my thumb.

The nice thing about not getting spoiler delete is that if you get a Roush spoiler, the holes are already drilled in the right location.

You could always trade trunks with somebody who wanted a spoiler but got a PP.

I want the spoiler delete when I get mine but I don't know if I can wait to have one built so I am very curious to see how the spoiler can be removed from the V6 model. I really want the Roush spoiler (so far) I hope someone does it and let's us know

How do you know where the Roush spoiler attaches? From what I have seen on the 2015 it attaches on the end of the deck lid not on top.. Or do you have an image showing it in more detail?

Is there any confirmation on if there will be holes if you take stock spoiler off yourself? Or is it taped on.

Will aftermarket spoilers make their own holes if there are no factory holes? Or do they also stick on with tape.
