My 18 Sticker price was 46700, got it to 42,000. You can get more than 2.5k off.

At this moment you can find a new 2018 base, manual for a hair under 30k that is almost the price of the the 2015/17 base.

Premium 401 w/ manual you can find for about 35k, that Imo is a great price.

once the 2019 starting hit the dealers its going to be even better.

Nothing wrong with the car, those prices always drop later.

Not the best deal in the world, but there has been worse. Check in your area to see if the 1,500 Ford rebate is available. If it is that may help with you decision. Also, don't forget to check the Dealer/Doc fees at the dealership. Some of these places have outrageous fees they slip in after you sign on the dotted line. Good luck.

sell the car yourself, then go negotiate just the price of the car. They have a way of blending those numbers when a trade happens. Love to watch you guys trade cars and think you get good deals. You don't. Sell your car yourself (its so easy) then negotiate just the price of the car. You will find you save yourself money

EX: Guy says I got a great deal on my trade at 30k! (car only worth 27?)
New car: price 40k. Gets it for 38k. But if they had searched find they could have got it for 4-5k off.

That extra 2-3k is the blending of the numbers used for the dealers benefit with the trade. So many people over see this.

So update they just knocked another 1000 off the price of the 18...hmmmm

Yeah I know they are just moving mud around
So now I'm at 30 on my car and 3500 off the 18

Could just say 29 on my car and 4500 off on the 18
And so on ...

I'm thinking the extra 1000 might have pushed me over the edge..

Know anyone who has run a supercharged car to 150k to 175k miles?
I put on 30k miles a year so like to keep my daily as close to stock as possible ....that's the only concern for the blower option ...if I drove 15k miles a year it would be game on

Yes I know that many miles on a mustang GT is crazy but I want to enjoy the drive ...Put 120k miles on my volt so tried economy car route... no thank you to doing that again lol

What are you gaining with the 18? Seems like a marginal improvement for serious cash.

In terms of the financial aspect it seems like a good deal on both ends, but in terms of what you get for the $9000, doesn't seem like a whole lot.

My car- Lightning Blue 17 GT A6 Premium - no navigation no other options- paid 32.5 NEW 6 months ago (added springs, wheels, exhaust - but I know that does nothing for value of car)

The other car - Black 18GT Base PP A10 dual climate control - sticker is 42500

The deal -
30K for my car
40K for the 18GT

I really like the 18 (still like the 17 GT hood better lol)

If the 18GT was closer to 36K would make it an easy move to the 18GT
Im just having a hard time paying 10K more when I could throw a PP2 or PP3 on my car for so much less and call it close enough

My car is daily driven 100+ miles a day and will never see track time. But damn is that 10A gen3 coyote combo fun : )

No. Pass.

That's a very solid deal. With the mileage you tack on both cars will depreciate pretty bad, but...

My perspective is if you like the 18 more get it. I say this because you spend ALOT of time in your car and if the price difference does not hurt you then you should enjoy the commute.

Good luck!

So $38k for the 2018 and $30k trade-in? I'd say to them "$500 more off and you got a deal" :D
Yep, I'd play "dealer" with them at this point if you're actually committed to buying the 18. Tell'em to drop another $1000 on the 18 while keeping the trade-in value at $30k and you'll sign immediately.

Then just make sure they don't play any games with dealer fees/add-ons, etc....

I have the same commute as you (100 miles/day) and have put 64k miles on my 2016. I just had my first issue about a month ago (AC compressor needed replacing). I think it's smart to forego the blower if your commute will not be changing anytime soon. I just wouldn't trust a major modification like that to hold up for 50-100-200k miles. Even the Roush blowers only have 3/36,000 warranty. Meaning the warranty would last about 14 months. After that you're screwed if something happens.
