Wanted to make a post to inform you forum members of the recent change we made to our SP083 Handling Spring Kit for the S550 Mustangs.

We have changed the front spring rate to a more friendly 250lb/in linear design, and have lessened the drop amount to right at about 7/8" (on average for a stock GT)

The rear spring was also revised slightly to drop the car a touch more to the 3/4" zone.

So the spring package is:

Front: 250lb/in - 7/8" Drop
Rear: 980lb/in - 3/4" Drop

These springs "can" be used with stock dampers, but they will work best with either GT350 / FRPP Monotube "Track" dampers or most aftermarket dampers that are available from Koni, Steeda, Bilstein, Cortex etc.

Testing has been rigorous, and results have been favorable. Feedback has been flawless from the few who have been putting them to the test.

To my knowledge, this is the stiffest true linear spring design available on the market as I type this.

I like the sound of this. Kelly I sent you an email earlier this week. I'm thinking maybe this would be a good match for my Ford Racing shocks.

So Kelly, the fronts by themselves would be the SP084R yes? If so, I have them with the handling out back and I can tell you I like the way the car sits better with these than the GT350R front springs and the rates paired with the Steeda Adjustables is just awesome

I have the 250lb fronts and the 800lb drag rear springs with gt350 struts and steeda pro-action shocks. Although I haven't had a track day yet they are comfortable for me on the street and my shock/strut combination is perfect with them. I pushed the car hard in a big parking lot and the turn in and overall grip seems better than the old handling springs. I think that's probably because it has better suspension geometry being that the drop isn't as much as the previous version. My car feels balanced but I can see how the 980lb spring will work well too.

Overall I'm really enjoying these springs. Thanks Kelly!

I ended up ordering a set for the '18 while you were swamped the past couple weeks, plan on getting them on the first weekend I have the car. Will report back with pictures.

Thanks for coming back and answering my questions though, I do appreciate it!

These rates and drops make for a superb handling-focused street car.

By this do you mean the GT350 front struts and FRPP track rear shocks?
Culmination of the "kits". Or the kits themselves.

Either or, both, etc.

Would be interested to know how these work with Steeda non-adjustables...
Having run them myself with the Steeda non adjustables, I'd recommend getting the adjustable version, Konis, FRPP track or another high quality damper. The non adjustables don't have enough rebound damping for these rates.

Thanks for the feedback. Figured that may be the case with these rates.
