I've gained 1-2mpg with my tune from Livernois even though I naturally drive it harder now. You should not have to sacrifice efficiency for performance
That's interesting. I don't see much difference when running Bama's performance tune, one way or the other, but I *definitely* see a loss with their race tune.

If they had one, then it would be for the sound, NA engine vs a Turbo, and 87 octane with no power loss.

I still haven't heard an EB exhaust I like yet unfortunately.

Nothing wrong with the EB, but having a V6 for 15+ years, I just trust the engine and love it.
There's nothing wrong with the V6. I'm not going to sh*t on the motor. In fact, even though Ford seems to want to get rid of it, I'd rather they didn't. As you say, it's venerable, trustworthy and a known quantity. And anybody who says a 300+HP motor is slow needs to have their head examined.

I can absolutely attest to Tampa having some of the shittiest highways I've been on, never ending construction and I've lived around here for off and on for 10 of the last 15 years.

My view out the office window, one reason why I work from home now.

Great write up BTW.
I think you're in the same building where I bought my fiancee's diamond...

Well I know they are tuning using different software so they are probably going about it a bit differently. My average was consistently staying at 22 but now I average a little over 23. It stays around that because of city driving and launching lol. I didn't get tuned until I hit about 7K miles

Holy shit you're right, I'm on the same floor as those guys...hint...it is NOT the SEIU office...

I see couples going in and out of there all the time.

I used to work at Bayshore Solutions. They're in the Amscot building right across from you in that pic.

Nice man, I do get to hear/see some crazy wrecks on 275 every now and then..

It's nice being this close to the mall for lunch and during shopping season but it also sucks trying to get out of our parking garage when the light is backed up into the mall garage.

Also just found out a guy in the office's son just got a CO '15 EB, I sent him a bunch of links to the site and told him about the monthly meets so hoping he'll make it out to one soon.

Yeah, great pros listed there. All configurations have them... I'm pretty happy they offered three separate engines with different characteristics. I was really close to buying a 6, and also a GT... I thought about all of them. Ended up with the one in the middle.

There is one thing I think we can all agree on, and that is that the S550 is a kick ass car.

You ever go to the meetups at Biffs?
Not yet, but I figure I should. Every time I'm at a Quaker meet, the Mustang crowd is telling me to bring my car to Biff's Mustang Mondays. Figure I'll go to the one coming up. You and Clink should go!

I'm going to swing by Quaker tonight for the meet. Prob around 7:45-8p.

That guy is a boss. Gave me a total steal on my diamond that killed IDC and Gold's. :D

I went to the last Mustang Monday, and will be there for this one coming up :). It's run by the Pony Up crew.

Only sticker I'll put on my Mustang.

Great review and discussion, can't wait until I can give my own impressions.

Leaning towards an EB since I DD to NY almost daily and lately I gotta take 287 to the Verrazano (Job in Long Beach LI), figure the FE and weight savings will compensate for the soundtrack.

Anything that hasn't been mentioned worth mentioning btw?

Probably the most annoying thing about owning an EB is ppl suggesting that because it is newer and FI that it is automatically not reliable. The EB is built to last.

Anyway aren't you the exact same guy who just commented about Ecoboost buyers coming into threads about the V6 and commenting about the EB? lol the V6 wasn't even mentioned in here
It gets real old having people constantly talking about maintenance and reliability with it being turbo. There are a ton of turbo cars out there with 150,000 to 200,000 miles with basic maintenance. What additional maintenance does a turbo motor have that NA motors don't?
