Ordered on 11/30 (technically it went in 12/1) and got a VIN on 12/4. Looks like things are starting to move along quicker. The dealer told me one of their customers got their car in 5 weeks.

if you dont get a vin within 4 weeks the dealer you ordered from doesnt have allocation. reorder from new dealer.
my dealer was 7 weeks to delivery and their first ot1 order the week before, they now no longer have allocation

Kinda strange. Got my vin 11/13 and was told by the dealer that the build week was the week of 1/5/15 but this does not show on COTUS and Cotus says 'Once scheduled, a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and estimated build date will be provided in the upper- left corner of the home page."

Unfortunately COTUS never tells you a build date. The Dealer/Ford Service was the only way to get this info. You should see movement on COTUS one week before your build day in Jan. After it is built COTUS will have the build date in the box, but not before.
