Today we are installing a set of Eibach Pro-Kit springs on a 2015 Mustang GT. The new S550 platform looks pretty good right off the showroom floor, however there is still that annoying wheel gap. with the help of Eibach's Pro-Kit springs, you can eliminate that wheel gap as well as improve your performance.

You can expect a 1" to 1.1" drop once installed, which will give your Mustang a much lower center of gravity which will reduce body roll, corner faster and handle more precisely.

Installation was pretty simple, although there are a few more steps installing the rears due to the new IRS. You can expect to spend about 2-3 hours all together. Once installed though you will see a dramatic difference right away, the new stance looks awesome. The wheel gap is almost completely gone.

If you want to improve the handling of your new 2015 Mustang and give it a more aggressive look, than check out these Pro-Kit springs from Eibach.

Did I miss the torque specs? I couldn't find them anywhere in the video.

Great video guys. I would figure another way to avoid having to drop the subframe, perhaps something that wouldn't require a lift to get it done. Can't wait to get the car and do the drop.

Yeh I'm the same - great video, but I want torque specs as well.

Is there a service manual available with torque specs, etc? The manual I got for my Harley is great, gives procedures on taking everything apart and putting it back together with any required threadlocker, gaskets, torque values, etc.

What are the spring rates?

EDIT: Nevermind. I see they are progressive rate. Too bad.

I called Eibach yesterday to question them a bit about the "25% stiffer" claims. I wanted to know which GT spring they compared it to. They didn't seem to know that the Perf Pack car had different springs, and couldn't tell me if the cars they tested for development had the Perf Pack.

He read me the spring rates they had for stock and the pro kit:

Front
Stock: 161 pounds
Eibach: 201 pounds

Rear
Stock: 668 pounds
Eibach: 799 pounds

I've been looking around to see if I could find the Ford spring rates, but have had no luck so far.

Yeah but the springs are progressive. So at what load are those numbers accurate?

I have no idea, he was reading them out of his computer to me to compare the numbers. Comparing them to stock like this and giving the % firmer numbers would make me think that those numbers are rated on a scale that would fit either progressive or linear springs.... Maybe max load/compression?

Yeah I didn't expect you to know. That's the problem with progressive rate springs. They are unpredictable.

I'll just wait until we get some good linear rate springs or coilovers.

I think those rates may be reversed front to rear. Mustang springs are always much heavier in front. Looks like the IRS is allowing lighter rear rates. Always have seen 225-275 in back. Fronts at 700-800 pounds are pretty stout.

I am impressed by how easy this is versus the 2004 and earlier design. No more dropping the front LCA and trying to pop the spring out without it flying across the room? Sweet! Even the rear procedure looks like it would be very doable with jack stands and a floor jack, though obviously the lift makes access easier.

And oh, my, does it look like working in a brand new, not dirty or greasy car would be a pleasure, LOL. I am always fighting 100K miles of road grime.

No the front is definitely thin and weak looking compared to the rear spring.

I doubt if the front is over 200lbs/in.

I guess I need to recalibrate. The "coilover" design in front must make a big leverage difference, and I have no idea what the IRS does to rear rates. Seems odd that it's almost exactly backward from the Ford Motorsport 5300C springs for the Fox chassis.
