Oh well, so this will never become a DIY thing then... I wonder if DD wil show a good solution, same for the wiring etc.

I understand your disappointment, but I imagine he does this for living and wants to keep a sort of 'exclusivity' on the opening.
About wiring, you can find a lot of info in this thread, or asking here. I believe DD solution should be wired about the same as the other solution.

Some vids of final setup here. Apologies for poor quality video - partly as the DRLs are so bright the camera can't handle it

if anything I'd say it's the switchbacks that look out of place... :-/

I had the same problem with my switchbacks from Poland, they were just too bright compared to the tribar so i had to remove them. Now it is way better :)

The switchbacks, for me, are the nicest thing in front of the car (in addition to the tri-bars) so I'll never remove them :D

The only thing noticeable in the video, is the color matching with the other lights... Everything should match the same color, the best white color is 6000k (but that's my opinion)

John577 I think you're right - I didn't pay too much attention to colour temperature - I got so excited when I saw switchback solution I just ordered!

I am told DRLs are 5000-5500K (as Papinist), so I may swap to his switchback which seems to be a good match.
John577 do you think the Osram CBI bulbs (supposed to be 5000K) would match DRLs (5000-5500K) better than stock Osram bulbs (4500K)?

With your boards in 5000-5500k, Yes I think the CBI's will match better than the stock HID bulb.

Okay, seems like there really was an error in my gifs of the tribar comparison so the EU driver looked way slower than in the original video. Sorry about that. The problem was that I recreated the turn signal by using single frames and cut them together as a gif.

Now I directly used the video, so each frame is converted right into the turning sequence.

Now you can totally see, that's is way harder to see if each bar is lighting up seperatly
