  1. Borla S-type + X pipe resonator delete = Atak?

I’m looking into the Borla line of exhausts and I noticed they sell a s type axle back, a s type catback, an atak catback, but do not sell an atak axle back. I can see the s type comes with a mid resonator while the atak catback comes with just an xpipe mid pipe. My car already has an x pipe...

  3. Gen 4 Coyote Oil Pan on a Gen 3?

I noticed the Gen 4 Coyote went back to a steel oil pan with a bolt instead of the plastic one with the butt plug like the Gen 3. If the Gen 4 pan directly fits a Gen 3, is anyone planning to do the swap? Its been speculated that some of the noises heard from the gen 3 (piston rattle, ticking...
  4. PSA: Not all 87mm GT350 Throttle Bodies are the same.

Hey All, I have a 2019 Mustang GT that is Roush Supercharged that is having some throttle related issues that I’m slowly troubleshooting because it’s not serious but I found something interesting about 87mm gt350 throttle bodies. I’ve been told by a few people to try a replacement throttle body...
  5. Weird throttle issues using launch control

Hey all, I have a 2019 Mustang GT 6 speed that is roush supercharged. The car is generally great but when I try launch control the car is unable to maintain the selected rpm and it keeps trying until it backs out. Any idea what is causing this?
  6. Would 30lbs of road force imbalance cause wheel shake?

I had a friend put my wheels on his balance machine for butt and seat shake at 80mph. They balanced great but one had 31lbs of road force imbalance and the other only had 1. Is this considered significant and probably the cause of the wheel shake I'm feeling? 285/30/20 Michelin Pilot Super Sports
  7. The HP was always in the gauges!

When Ford announced the 2018 mustang, just like the gt500, they took their time with releasing horsepower. Turns out, for both the gen 3 coyote and now the GT500, the rough horsepower was always "hidden" in the gauges for the press release photos in the form of gear and mph. See below: 2018...
  8. Aftermarket GT500 Hood?

I bought my 15GT second hand and the previous owner drilled and stuck on the MMD fake hood scoop that really just isn't my style. Does anyway think that an aftermarket company will be making 2020 GT500 replica hoods? I know they make GT350 rep hoods so I don't think its a stretch. Gt500 hoods...

  11. Another '18 Coyote engine to bite the dust. (Buy back accepted)

Since this thread has a lot of views I'll just preface what you see below. Below is my chronological process with my dealer investigating the "BBQ" or "Typewriter" tick that seems to plague so many '18 Mustangs. Its been up and down. The purpose of this thread is to help others dealing with...
  12. 2018 GT "Klacking" and Rough Idle

Hello all, I wanted to see if this is normal or if anyone knows whats going on. After my drive to work this morning (60mph for 20 minutes) I parked the car and before turning off the car, I noticed it was idling really rough. It felt like a boat rocking in water. I hopped out of the car...
  13. Paint Code for Black Roof?

Hey! I have a black accent package 2018 mustang that unfortunately suffered a rock chip on the black roof. I'm unable to find the paint code for the black roof so I can purchase some touch up paint. Is it the G1 Shadow Black they paint the cars? Thanks in advance!
  14. Possible Link between 2018 Engine Rattle and GT350's

Hey all, I came across a thread here on Mustang6g posted awhile back that might help put some new 2018 owners or prospective owners mind's to rest on the rattle issue (Not BBQ tick) that seems to be present on a lot of 18 GT's (including my own.) Being the Gen3 Coyote uses the spray-in liners...
