I deliberately said ON TRACK, do you live on a track? Please quote the whole sentense. On the steet the v8 has power everywhere above 1k5, there's no such thing as staying in the powerband on the street to just keep up with the civic in the front.
I am simply saying that constantly skipping...
Then what's the point of a 6-speed manual? Ford should just design a 3-speed tranny if 1,3,5 are rarely used.
I understand the shorter gearing is good on track if you want to stay in the powerband most of the time. On the street, I prefer more spacing between gears, and I like the rev staying...
The main reason I didn't want PP is because the gearing is too aggresive for DD, and I think it's more expensive to change the gearing ratio than any other mods. I don't want to go through too many gears between every stop light.
Sounds like it will just work as a single mid-range/bass driver after I cut off the tweeter. This is exactly what I wished to hear since I don't need to buy another pair of speakers. Thanks a lot!!
I have the base audio system and recently replaced all 4 main speakers with JBL GT7-6 two-way coaxial speakers. The problem is, I have toooo much treble because I have essentially doubled the number of tweeters upfront:doh:.
I tried to use EQ to correct it but it doesn't work too well. I...
I did the spring/shock myself in my shared garage, and it took about 6-8 hours. I don't think you need to lift the whole car just for this kind of job. Given how much they charge for using their jack and tools (~$30/h?), I don't think it wroths it. Buy all the tools yourself, and keep them for...
I recently did a resonator delete with MRT stainless H-pipe on my GT stock exhaust but decided it's not what I was looking for , so I am selling this setup. I only have it on for about 200 miles.
The H-pipe is brought from CJ Pony Part for $239...
Maybe a stupid question, but does this pulley rotate at varying speed along with the engine?
My point is, if the pulley rotates at a constant speed regardless of engine speed, then lightening it doesn't do anything other than reduce some static weight from the car, which is less than 1lb for $70.
The car is 2016 GT no-PP. I was tempted to upgrade my wheels for this setup wrapped in summer tires. I have tried to search for such setup but it seems very few people considered this combo. In fact I don't see many people considering 18' at all and go straight to 19/20' wheels.
Pro: cheaper...
