In your circumstance, I'd just put street tires on one set of CF wheels and have Cup 2 on the other, and put the cup 2's on the one you're taking to the track that day.. that way you still get to use the CF wheels every day (why not?). And if you are taking a trip, throw on the 6G's. :D

I've seen some great deals on Ruby Red R's, I think it's a sleeper color.. pick one up now for a smoking deal and use the extra $ for the track!!

The thing is this- the car is on the ground ready for a buyer RIGHT NOW. The announcement on the 2018 #'s is relatively fresh, and the market has gotten stronger on R's for now. I'd gladly sell my 2017 for $30K over if someone wants to wire me the money! But in all reality, it's a pipe dream...

Addressing your concerns by #: 1- Just make sure to buy a Track Pack vehicle or 2017. Problem solved. 2 & 3- if you want to avoid the recall, buy a early 2017 post-recall car that was not effected. Then just be sure to check the oil on a regular basis.. this is a high performance car...
