I think a lot of people bought on impulse and because of the hype of the limited production of the car... when people were seeing $10K ADM's, I saw people jumping in at $5K over because they thought it was a deal. Another (my brother, for example) was pretty convinced that the car would hold...
Forgive me if I'm short on the history of the GT500 and I honestly have not been following the GT500 buzz until recently, but is it likely Ford will follow the same model with the GT500 as they did with the GT350 and offer an R model?
If that's the car in Pembroke Pines it's been on the lot for 3 months sitting outside and has over 200 "test drive" miles on it since they got it. I'd be sure to go over it with a fine-tooth comb and measure the tire tread depth.
Corvettes never hold their value and usually tank fast.. there is a lot of talk of the new C8 being revealed at the Detroit auto show also (or this year) and a mid-engine Corvette would most definitely hurt the value even more. Most Corvette guys I know are die-hard corvette guys, and they are...
I think he's looking for fair market guys. I think your trade-in is low, however. I traded mine at $54K, but that was months ago.
I'd say $55K for a car that's been taken care of like that with low miles. $54K to get it sold and I would think you'd have a happy buyer.
If I was looking...
The car handles just fine, I think he means it doesn't "ride" as good on the street. Any good sports car is going to ride a little rough.
And the guy keeps comparing the GT350 to the M5, the M5 is big heavy sedan and the GT350 will crush it on the track, but as mentioned in this thread, they...
Only thing I see different is that this car would be super easy to add stripes to it or wrap the roof, and you saved the $475 factory option. If I was in the market right now, I'd buy this and just add the stripes myself.
There's no turning back from Yellow though unless you do a full body...
This car has sat for about a week at $2K over... when I was looking, Base cars were found for less ADM than fully optioned cars pretty easily and the Base cars I saw had a hard time moving.
Let's face it, we're at a different stage in the market right now. As an owner, I hope we see a...
Have you thought about anagreed value plan? I have considered it since I don't believe my insurance company would see the same value in the car I did if they had to pay out. Might be worth looking into.
Smoking deal. 6 months ago this would have been a battle of 5-10 people trying to get the deal secured first, perhaps even offering more than what the dealer was asking. Amazing how times have changed.
And yet I've seen dealers with plain grey ones asking $20K over who think they are going...
Good for you. I think it's safe to conclude that you just don't want one bad enough and are willing to sit on the sidelines while others enjoy their Shelby's. I just couldn't do that- and have no regrets.
$5K is possible but YOU have to work for it. Don't expect that to land in your lap and it can happen IMO. Some have gotten lucky and had deals handed to them, however, but I wouldn't bank on it if it's something you really want.
