The only realistic concern is that (assuming it hasn't been driven) theres 5 year old gas in the tank. That would be the only thing I might want addressed before taking delivery; drain the tank and have the fuel system cleaned. if its been driven as a demo and had a few miles put on it each year...
Im going to say that thats the wrong approach to this car. This one needs to be driven. Its not special enough to be stuck in a glass case. This is a great opportunity for someone to have full warranty and day one driving history for the price of a used car.
No need to overthink this one.... I wouldn't worry one bit about how long its been sitting. Warranty starts when its purchased. If its been inside the tires will be fine too.
Yellow isn't for everyone which didn't help with the sale. Poor marketing would be more to blame.
All that said, for...
I appreciate all the input guys.
I measured the pipes and they are 2.5”... this leaves me torn on whether to swap out to the lth or not. The car sounds incredible the way it is and I’m definitely not lacking in power (789whp).... but still if there’s anything to support any improvement...
Ahhhh I get it now.. the 350 came with an x pipe from the factory with 2 resonators. The resonator on my bullitt was a big rectangular muffler looking thing with 2 in and 2 out. I just assumed the 350 would have had the same thing stock.
So considering the stock resonators were simply removed...
I know the difference between x and h pipes.
Im talking about 2 different kind of X pipe designs... one type (the more common apparently) is where the two pipes run parallel and merge into one another. The other is an actual X where the exhaust literally has to intersect.
Ive been searching...
I had a brain fart the other day and for some reason thinking I had an H pipe on my car I ordered a LTH X pipe. Low and behold when I get underneath I find that theres an X on it... ( I guess my bullitt had the H..) anyways looking at the one currently installed Im not in love with it, seems...
Maybe a dumb question but how about your serpentine belt routing? I know in some cases if its threaded wrong some accessories could run in the wrong direction.
Not everyone can afford a Shelby. For many it’s a dream car, cloning the appearance is a way to realize some of the dream for a fraction of the cost and let’s face it cost of ownership can be a lot higher with a 350 too.
Don’t assume the op is a wannabe and going to go around telling everyone...
good point on the fuel pump, I had a '18 f350 6.2 that cranked forever before starting and thats what it was. funny thing is that it ran totally normal once it started.
Wow pretty rough on the guy for just asking a simple question lol
That said I prefer the 350 clip and swapping with a 500 wouldn’t appeal to me. Especially if it means a fender swap. Omitting the fender vents wrecked the 500 for me.... like bugs already said... I’m out.
Ive mentioned it here before.. the owner of the shop that did the Whipple install on my '17 has a '16 with over 60,000kms. Whipple went on right away. He drives it hard, 2 big rules to follow: Don't beat on it until the oil is up to operating temp and only run the fuel that the tune was built...
I had it on my '19 bullitt, I liked it. Im good with heel/toe and for the most part can hit the revs right.... I don't care how good you are you can't rev match better than a computer. Absolutely seamless.
That said, I prefer doing it myself and wouldn't be too interested in putting it in my gt350
