  1. Went with 17” wheels, taller sidewalls, smoother ride

Stock brakes? I'm looking at 17s because I want steel and that's the available size. Did they clear the brakes good?
  2. WTB pre-wrapped or painted steering wheel bezels

You're dead on. I'd probably screw it up and have to stare at it forever. Rather just work some extra hours for the money and then pay some expert. Believe me I've thought about DIY. Also figured somebody could use a few bucks to do something they already know how to do. Maybe they have the...
  3. Who has and Sells The Carbon and Leather Steering wheels ? ? ? ?

Holy hell that is perfect. Just looked at them everything is 10% (started April 1st) off and they take the old wheel for a $125 core. Still expensive for me but wow!
  4. Steering wheel control delete

I'd like to #1 swap out my steering wheel for an aftermarket WITH the airbag space but WITHOUT the cruise/phone/radio controls. If not then #2 just remove the controls from the existing steering wheel and fabricate pretty covers for the gaps Anybody know if this would this affect the normal...
  5. Nevada Steering Wheel trim

Still for sale? Will they fit on a 2018 GT base?
  6. Driving with no steering wheel trim

I want to do this. Where did you send it?
  7. WTB pre-wrapped or painted steering wheel bezels

Steering wheel bezels are way too shiny! Just black or smoked would be fine. Not looking to do this myself. Seems like the steering wheel is the worst offender for glare. I have an 18 GT wihout PP. Anybody performing this valuable service?
  8. 2018 PP vs non-PP

Man this one got derailed. Anybody find some non-PP GT performance numbers? I'm thinking the gearing 3.55 vs 3.73 would make a difference in 0-60 or quarter at least. But the road tests seem to be PP only.
  9. Rear gear swap effect on quarter mile

I appreciate the post but those videos simply aren't very clear. What's the HP? Are these forced induction? There's other threads of discussion for speculation. I'd like actual numbers if possible. Sometimes a car mag in the old days would print acceleration numbers before and after a rear gear...
  10. Calling at Hellion Mustang Owners

But now you've insulted 90% of the forum and became one of the 90% yourself. "Fearing not that I'd become my enemy in the instant that I preach." -Bob Dylan And MPG threads, unironically made, are silly unless low MPG is posited as the symptom of a problem. What it is, JennyStang, is that...
  11. Has Anyone Ever Gotten a Warranty Claim Denied for a Tune?

Aftermarket made to Ford spec? You're citing a routine maintenance article. Like replacing plugs, oil, brake pads and so on. Ford can't deny warranty for using a different brand coolant or tires for example. Because an aftermarket part that alters parameters doesn't seem like what the FTC is...
  12. Which is the best steering technique?

City: left hand at 12 and right hand on the shifter. Mode = comfort (don't judge me) Highway: hook thumbs in spokes. Mode = normal
  13. Tesla (S) drivers always want to race me.

Soon all electric cars will be cheap as our Mustangs and we will own them just because that's what's in the market. Like a parts-chaser Camry today runs 14 seconds in the quarter quick as yesterday's muscle car while easily outbraking and out turning it. I'll lament the manual control as...
  14. Rear gear swap effect on quarter mile

I have an 18 manual with the 3.55 LSD. The instrumented tests of the 2018 Mustangs you find on the web and in the magazines are done with the PP Mustangs that have 3.73 Torsen rears. I want shorter gears like the PP, but even shorter. I'm actually looking at installing the 4.09s since they...
  15. Has Anyone Ever Gotten a Warranty Claim Denied for a Tune?

First thing the dealer asked me when it set a CEL after the first month of ownership was "does it have a tune?" Was nice to be able to say no. If I was to tune it would have to be worth it, a big HP bump, a blower or something. Why deal with the hassle and stress just for a few HP? Turned out...
  16. Well, add me to the unlucky list.

You admittied to going 45 in a 35. This is stupid to admit publicly but also telling. We all speed but when you do you need sharper reflexes and longer stopping distances. You have to count on other drivers acting foolishly, which they all do, including us. You can no longer assert she was 100%...
  17. Reason behind dual stage clutch spring?

First time I felt the pedal stay low I thought the master cylinder failed. Ridiculous. Ford didn't have to remove ALL the feel! Frankly it gave me a bit of a scare because it was my first full throttle on-ramp and I thought "shit I broke the car already and now I'm stuck on the highway." And...
  18. Who will swap for the new 7.3 V8!

I like the idea of a modern big block. Sure a supercharged 5.0 is faster but that really isn't the point. We would all drive Honda Accords if practicality was the point. I drive a stick shifted two door with a V8. Practical is off the table. And a naturally aspirated big block V8 would be cool...
  19. What do you guys think? Video from CJ adressing tick issue.

Hey, well if some "car guys" and your girl don't like it then what the hell does Ford know. I'm sure you will have no strange noises with your new car. Peace.
  20. What do you guys think? Video from CJ adressing tick issue.

Hell I've got 5 minutes. You're coming across obsessed. So all of your "research" is probably biased. YouTube, really? Digging up sales numbers estimates and trying to prove something. You even somehow measured complaint levels in forums (how?) and think that proves anything? It sure says...
