My shopping criteria was: the cheapest new American V8 with a stick. Found one on the lot. I use my phone anyway.
Hell it could have had an AM radio and a dial and the car would still be awesome. Frankly I could do without the steering wheel buttons.
I guess if we are talking about the size of...
I have metal 307 emblems on the side of my Mustang for the hell of it, under the 5.0 badge. They still look good after 3 years, have to take a pic later. It is confusing to some people.
Using cubes is the nod to heritage. I have both SAE and metric listed, reflecting the old and the new, and in...
All the rear seat deletes I've seen are flimsy, except for some wood DIY ones. And there are many that have no reviews at all. Who makes an aftermarket one that will not collapse under the weight of a big dog or a couple of spare wheels? Super thin plastic or cardboard isn't doing it. A strong...
I'll give you an idea. Maybe this is common knowledge for some, but it belongs in here.
Say you have 18" wheels, 3.55 gears and an MT, a common GT setup, the cheapest in fact. You are debating a gear swap or a Power Pack. Your tires are also probably worn down. Maybe you also are even...
I installed two ZL-1 Addons 18-21 Mustang GT products. A tow hook and a license plate holder. Both use the same part bolted to the bumper, called the receiver. One receiver is for the tow hook and the other receiver is for the license plate holder. Left and right are not interchangeable. They...
What? You're missing out. I must do a burnout a few times a week.
And sometimes I floor it from a roll in first and run all the way up to 7,500, just to hear it. At four and a half grand the tires tend to break loose. It's just great.
There aren't too many V8's you can rev this high. If you're...
It isn't so expensive. Ford spends millions of dollars on advertising, on product placement, on car shows, all to increase reputation. Reputation is very important to a company like Ford. They would spend a ton on additives if it meant avoiding reputation damage caused by Youtubers complaining...
If ceratec is so great why don't Ford just use it themselves? I think they'd rather not replace long blocks or deal with noise complaints and reputation damage if a little bit of additive could handle it.
Do any OEM's even use this stuff?
And don't tell me it "quiets the tick." Even if this is...
All year long on the same all season Pirellis. 18's. The all seasons give mediocre traction year round. 18" rim means I don't bend one so easily.
I thought the salt issue was when you brought the car into a heated garage after driving it around and the melting snow plus road salt turns into a...
I can second this. I had a bad O2 sensor replaced under warranty. Stock Mustang. NO CODES WERE THROWN. The only symptom was a slight misfire when idling. Took the dealership quite a while to diagnose. Ford sent an engineer down and everything. Lack of codes inhibits diagnosis since you really...
Have to agree. If it doesn't affect drivability they will state it's within parameters. They're actually correct and your warranty covers part failures that happen within the warranty period, not minor roughness.
But you never can tell. Dealer has surprised me before.
Thanks for posting. I like threads with symptoms AND resolution. Helps us all learn.
Is the Exedy a low quality part? This failure mode is unusual. Did you contact Exedy about this? What did they say?
Once the clutch is engaged it shouldn't slip any. Just for hoon you don't even need line lock to make smoke. Just make sure traction control is off. In fact you don't want to slip it much at all to roast them. Pop it fast, it can take it.
I found Line Lock finicky.
Underhood, hot brakes, hood from outside.
Seek Thermal camera a couple hundred on Amazon. Plugs into bottom of the iPhone.
Had some extra time on my hands.
It's easier to unplug that plug than to access the fuse box! I mean really easy, like Ford made it really easy on purpose. But you have to be the type of person who opens their hood now and again to see it. Maybe that keeps out most of the nervous nellies. And protects Ford from liability.
So...
