  1. Interest in private track event in FL...updated.

Hmmm, E30 tune revision 1 looked a little lean up top, revision 2 loaded and ready for some logging tonight....if it didn't rain...lol.
  2. Welcome my sister StangHeat and her new 2015 Mustang Ecoboost in TY with 50th AP

Beautiful car....and the correct color..lol. Be careful, the mod bug gets very addictive with the Ecoboost. They respond very well to bolt ons and a tune.
  3. Interest in private track event in FL...updated.

It will be interesting to see how the logs compare. Even in the heat, don't think I've seen over 120* IAT2, and that was 90*+ ambient. Nic did a great job at picking out the core for his IC...damn thing just won't stay hot..lol. Most timing I saw pulled on my logs from earlier was 1*, and...
  4. Interest in private track event in FL...updated.

Oh yeah, laptop will be with me for logging. After the logs earlier, I'm pretty happy with it. I saw max IAT2 just after getting off the throttle, but it never came close to 100*, even after 2 back to back runs from 45-100. I'm also going to open the lower grill up for more air flow...factory...
  5. Interest in private track event in FL...updated.

I'm going to use a small garden sprayer....cheap, easy to find, and sprays a fairly fine pattern so the IC won't get water trapped in the fins, then drip on the track. After my data log runs earlier tonight, I might be ok though. Saw a peak IAT2 of 94* after 2 back to back pulls on the new E30...
  6. Interest in private track event in FL...updated.

Considering this is a private rental, there should be minimal waiting in the staging lanes..lol. I saw the forecast last night...ugh, why can't it be upper 70's/low 80's for a change..lol. I'm bringing a small spray bottle to mist water/alcohol onto the IC between runs to cool it down. Even with...
  7. Hide yo Mustangs and watch yo kids!!

Mine will be safe and sound in the well lit, security patrolled, parking lot at work. If I wasn't working, she would be safely tucked away in the garage. Fortunately I live in a nice quiet neighborhood now, but the old 'hood was questionable at times. Even so, g/f is turning the porch lights off...
  8. Interest in private track event in FL...updated.

Lol...Yep, you got the basic thoughts down. I haven't been to Orlando since the resurfacing was done, but there was room to drive around the water box last time I was there. Definitely no a/c in the staging lanes...it will still drip when you get onto the racing surface. Reaction time....like...
  9. Interest in private track event in FL...updated.

I'll send him a message in the morning when I get home to make sure you are good. Shoot me a PM with your info and I'll verify it with him, but don't think there will be an issue.
  10. VMP'S EgoBoost Mustang details

Can't wait to see the EgoBoost in action next weekend. Hopefully Mother Nature will give us some nice cool weather for the track day.
  11. Lets hear it, what size drag radials are you EcoBoost guys running???

I've been riding around on my 285/40-18 Nitto 555R's since Friday, and pleasantly surprised how well they do on the street for a DR. I need to replace my normal street tires, so left them on after going to the track Friday evening. I have a pair of 99-04 GT 17x8 rims that I could put DRs on...
  12. Interest in private track event in FL...updated.

Same here. Hopefully it will cool off again before then, or at least drop the humidity a bit. We have another front due through by week's end, but gotta see how it affects temps.
  13. Interest in private track event in FL...updated.

Find me when you get there and I'll get you in contact with Jason. The gate should have a list of racers, but I'll double check with Jason or Joe to make sure that will be the case. If you have a helmet, bring it. Better to have it and not need it. I know the tower will have a few for people...
  14. Thread for 18 inch wheels or less, post them up.

Nothing special, but gloss black AMR 18x9 front, 18x10 rear...255/45 front, 275/40 rear. Didn't realize the tire store goofed and matched what was on the rims in the front size wise. Thought I told them 255/40 so they would match the rear, but oh well. Have another pair of 18x10 with 555R...
  15. cheap 17 inch wheels?? And whos running 17'' drag radials

I would try finding a pair of the '99-'04 GT 5 spoke premium wheels...believe they are 17x8, IIRC. Should be easy to find, and pretty cheap. Has to be the flat spoke wheels though...17" Bullit style won't clear the calipers. I have some black 18x10 AMR with 285/40 Nitto 555R that will be my...
  16. Cavalli Turbo......

I remember that. Still think the triple BB is overkill on a smaller turbo, which in turn, adds a good bit to the price. As quick as the twin scroll spools, there's really no need for TBB. Even if it has a slight lag over the OEM unit with a journal bearing vs BB, that would actually be a benefit...
  17. Open Track Day 10/17-18 - @ The FIRM

Yeah, yeah...rub it in. While you were cutting corners, I was cutting Zzzz's after my 12 hr night shift. One day I want to give a road course a try. I like playing on twisty roads, so it would be a blast to road track it.
  18. Interest in private track event in FL...updated.

See ya there. Like Stoli said, if you have any questions, just ask. Some of us have been drag racing for 25+ years, and have no problem showing you how it's done, giving pointers, making it fun. Slight update: price dropped a few dollars for spectators, down to $10 at the gate. Racers still...
  19. Jacksonville Florida meets?

Wish I could, but stuck working this weekend....plus saving my drag radials for the track rental in a few weeks. Weather should be outstanding this weekend, other than a little windy.
  20. Interest in private track event in FL...updated.

Just make sure you have enough gas, and be ready to have fun. The launch technique varies on what the car wants, and the track will hold. The surface will have a "little" more grip than the street..lol. We get track prep at the rental, so it should be pretty tacky. They also just redid the...
