Kind of short notice, but planning on heading to Orlando for T&T tomorrow night. Weather looks to be decent enough, maybe a touch humid, but low 70's for the high. Hoping the E30 revision I'm on will run decent. Come on out if you get a chance. Gates open at 6pm, but I'll be there earlier.
No go for me either....working that weekend. Gotta save the vacation for possible trip to Spring Break Shootout, plus I have a convention in Atlanta end of September.
And the claimed 700hp that the Hellion kit produces is not on a stock engine. Cyclone is good up to about 450 whp before the rods/pistons start getting shaky. I came from the Cyclone world, and still know quite a few guys who have them. Once you go forged bottom end, ported heads/intake...600+...
Yes. that Race Trac has E85 at the pumps. I pay them a visit roughly once a week due to running an E30 tune on my Eco. Fortunately, I only live 5 mins away in Confederate Point subdivision..lol.
I went back to the stocker for the time being, and the odd misfire I had went away, plus CAT and IAT came back in line with each other. In stop/go traffic with the TS spacer/bov, CAT crept into the 120-130 range, and IAT were 90-100. That told me right away the TMAP was seeing false temps, and...
I was there the night she made that pass, making a few low boost shakedown runs on my E30 tune. Track was working good, and air was decent...little high on the humidity side, but temps were great.
Adam.....think that would have affected the data on the logs I've sent you? I have the original style that goes under the TMAP as the vac source. I know what I'll be changing this weekend.....time for a new vac source and toss the adapter in the toolbox...lol.
I'm running into the same issue at low boost levels. I'm slowly taking the tension off to see if there is a sweet spot, but no luck so far. IIRC, someone said there was a lighter spring to use, but can't for the life of me remember what color/tension it was.
First Sunday in January is a Funday Sunday @ OSW. They are doing T&T plus a swap meet. I'm planning on going...hoping to have the rest of the tuning done on E30, maybe work on a race gas tune. That way I can't screw up the ratio...lol.
Pretty good for a stock IC/MT car, but I bet that ic was warm by the end of the pass...lol. What fuel is he running, out of curiousity? Working on the E30 right now, but race gas tune is coming soon.
I ran a 7.88 @ 88.1 in everyday driver trim...had a 1.66 60ft on tired 555R DRs. That was...
Not terribly impressed with that, considering I went 7.88 @ 88.1 in full street trim. I still had heavy 18x9 AMR wheels up front, and 18x10 rears, with worn out 555R DRs. But, I will say that's getting down the track pretty well for a M/T car. These small factory turbos are tricky to launch.
It's local to me here in Jacksonville....Green Cove Dragway is the track. They are having a gamblers race, last man/woman standing, and door slammer shoot out, so track prep will be great.
Same here. I need to swap out the leaky MMR expansion tank and thin out my mix a bit more so I can data log the latest tune revision without lean pops. It's effing cold up here...low of 37 tonight. I may go to the local 1/8 mile Sunday to get a few passes in on the 275/40/17 NT05's I picked up.
If you don't get carried away and mix too much in with the 93, it's not an issue. Our cars fuel system can tolerate 30-35% with not much degradation of parts over time. Definitely not up to Flex Fuel car status, but still pretty tolerant. I got a bit carried away and went close to E40-45 on the...
That's one of the great things about the Cobb Access Port, you can toggle between different slots on the map as you drive along. Run low on w/m, toggle over to the regular 93 tune until you can refill the tank. Most systems do come with a low level warning so you can keep from hurting something...
I'm keeping an eye on the weather as well. Still tinkering with the e30 tune, and me being the dumbass that I am, put too much E85 in the tank. Now the car is doing the lean sputter at 22-23 psi. Talk about feeling like an idiot..lol.
That's what I'm hoping for as well. I picked up some 275/40-17 NT05 DRs already mounted on older GT wheels....same setup I sold your buddy with the GT..lol. My 18s are getting thin, and these popped up locally..couldn't pass for the price. I'm going out to log a little more tonight...getting...
Definitely no joke. The 12.77 pass in my sig had a "spectacular" 1.82 60ft on my drag radials, but it was due to the car leaving soft. I sent him a text to see what changes were made, and he said I was only running an 18 psi tune. The car went the same ET/mph as my previous best, with 6 lbs less...
