It really shouldn't come as a surprise that high performance pads like on the PP cars might make noise. The manual should have been clearer on this, it only says that occasional brake noise is normal.
That's showing quite a bit more of a reflection than I was expecting. Is there another picture available that shows just how shiny it is? If it's really that shiny, is it too late to switch my order to the much-less-shiny graphite?
For what purpose, racing for money? Obviously a lighter Mustang would be preferred to a heavier one, and you can drop 100 or more pounds from the Mustang without too much trouble (lighter wheels, ditch the rear seat, lighter rotors.) In any case, unless you're racing for money I'd argue it...
I was always a Corvette fan, I've had a 90, 92, 99FRC, and have driven many more. My dad's current car is a 2011 Vette (manual, coupe, not a Z51) and while I do really like the car and I've driven it quite a bit I also chose a S550 over buying a used C6. The Vette is definitely faster in a...
I asked a similar question recently and got some good answers. Some of it was related to wet conditions too, but summer tires should be fine in the cold once they warm up.

The number I saw quotes in this thread (which is more/less in line with other numbers I've seen thrown around) was 2 Tbsp/2000 Miles.
2 Tbsp = .0078 Gallons
Being generous and going with the EPA's advertised 19mpg combined for those 2000 miles that means we've burned 105.26 gallons of gas...
I've got a Lethal H pipe with an otherwise stock exhaust and when I come off throttle at high-moderate RPM I do get a little popping, but it's nowhere near as loud as some other cars I've had in the past.
How does that compare to something like your camber bolts? I get the idea that unless you slot them precisely so the bolt is resting against the strut then you're really only counting on the clamping force to prevent them from moving, but isn't the same thing true about the camber bolts in one...
Out of curiosity, how do you adjust that when aligning the car? Do you loosen the nuts and just pry the strut in/out until you get camber where you want it?
I've got the Lethal H pipe with an otherwise stock exhaust. It's definitely louder than stock and you do hear more rasp at full throttle, but I think it sounds awesome. It's not so loud as to draw unwanted attention, but it'd definitely more aggressive than stock. I have not noticed any drone at...
Thanks for the info. I probably can't convince my wife I need a third set of wheels and tires right now, but if I can get the PSS up to a reasonable temperature I'm ok sticking with them for now. I've got a little track experience, just nothing in the colder and wetter weather.
A track in my area runs lapping days all year round, and around here our normal winters are mild (highs in the mid30s to high40s usually) and pretty wet. Does anyone have experience running such events in cool and wet weather, related to tire choice? I've got a set of DWS 06 on my factory PP...
