It's a Perf Package, Premium with the 50 Years package, fancy alarm, navigation (I'm not sure if that's included by default in the Premium option.) I paid 38k after rebates, plus tax.
Is this a temporary price drop or something permanent? I hadn't really considered the FF15 before since they were a bit more than I wanted to spend but this new price isn't bad.
So you're saying the S550 that has been on the market for a while is a disappointment because much more expensive models that don't actually exist yet will be better at some point in the future?

There's always something faster, and unless you're spending all your time at the track does it really matter? The S550 looks amazing, has a great interior, is comfortable and fun to drive, handles well, and goes fast.
If specs on paper really matter that much then it might not be the car for you.
How was the event? I just saw this thread. I used to do a fair amount of autocrossing a few years ago but stopped when the events got so big that you'd find yourself standing around for 5 hours to get 3 minutes of driving time.
At near freezing temps those tires will be very hard and have exceptionally poor traction. If you'll be driving your car in actual winter conditions you really should buy tires intended for those temperatures.
