Reps have said that the R won't be more than the difference between a well optioned GT and the base GT350. 40k well optioned GT 48k base GT350 56k GT350 R Seems pretty reasonable when you add in Owens' comment.

Exactly.. although I do think Owen's could've clarified that only applies to the low end of that range. Can't imagine the R coming in at 55k but if the base car is 45-48k I can see it happening.

I think it should be compared to a base + pp GT as far as starting price goes. I think a bse+pp GT is around 36k so 10-12k more seems reasonable for the GT350 base.

$48999 base w/ a $4-5000 "tech" pack that includes mag ride and I'm sold. Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if the base + tech pack comes in under $52k.

Probably exhaust/tune. Hardest part will be waiting to hear all the exhausts.. will be pretty unlikely to hear one in person prior to ordering.
