we need to revive this thread, as soon as my car is done getting a new clutch/trans from the dealer under warranty I'd like to get out and meet some fellow Mustang enthusiasts!
Sounded like our best bet was going to be a somewhat central meet up in the KW/Cambridge area. kinda half way for the...
Why 2019+? I have a buddy in Kitchener with a white 2018 GT that has a MGW X spec in his. I drove the car and it is very "notchy" if that's what you are after. His handle on here is "Stangry".
I second DaSilva Racing in Pickering. They will farm it out but they are a Mustang specialist and only deal with outside shops that are in the know from experience...not to mention they have a dyno...which is how I found them initially! :)
I haven't read too much in regards to the "nibble" everyone is talking about but will say that my car has had a weird rattle/noise from day one (2019 GT). not sure if it's related or not but my car is currently at the dealer having either the clutch or trans replaced under warranty. I'm curious...
Avalon King had a July 4th sale and I finally ended up pulling the trigger and bought 2 kits as the price dropped to $75/per if you got two. I plan to do everything...paint, glass, wheels, plastic.
Looking into the prep side of things now as I want the best possible outcome. Plan to do the...
I have the Premium Care extended warranty and Iām glad I havenāt tuned my car yet. Already replaced one axle and car is currently at dealer with a clutch/trans issue. Both issues Ford would likely decline coverage for if my car was tuned.
There were three he gave me but the papers are in my desk at work. First one was for broken shift forks 1-2, second was broken shift forks 3-4 and last one was something about a notice to dealers about premature clutch failures but not an actual TSB.
I ran my car through the gears this morning...
Thanks Cobra Jet, after speaking to a local dealer today he printed off a few of the TSBās it could be. Have an appointment Wednesday morning to drop the car off at dealer to begin the process.
Hey all, so I have a 2019 Mustang GT with the good ole MT82. Car has 68,000 Kms or roughly 42,000 miles.
started noticing a slight squeal/squeak upon startup a few months ago and at the same time the clutch seemed to start acting grabby/jerky which it had never done before.
squeal/squeak went...
I feel you on the torque steer. My automobile passion was sparked in my teens by the ole L67 series II Grand Prix GTPās. Owned three different coupes with the most powerful one putting down...or at least trying to 560 whp with a Cartuning turbo setup. Could literally rip the wheel out of your...
Two things Iām wondering about now. She told me Ford will send them a bare hood, they paint it (dealershipās body shop) and then call me to swap the hoods out.
1. I should have a new 3yr warranty on new hood for future paint defects?
2. I paid for the premium undercoating thatās guaranteed...
No the hood was dry and dirty. I park directly under a maple tree and it drops all kinds of things on my car :( every morning during the warmer months I walk out to see what looks like someone punctured a can of pop on the roof/side of my car but itās from the tree.
Ya she told me she does roughly 3 Explorer hoods per week :o didnāt realize something like that could slip past QA but doesnāt surprise me.
took a couple pics of my hood for reference...
Also forgot to mention I switched from Ford synthetic blend 5w20 at first oil change to Mobil 1 5w30 synthetic. Also when my typewriter tick started haha I swear I love this car!
I posted on this this with my 2019 and had an oil consumption test done because my car would eat roughly 2 quarts every oil change interval (5000 miles). Dealer notched my dipstick and then checked at next interval...car was down just over 2 again. Result was deemed normal and told to carry on...
you beat me to it Ralph. I run the same Cooper Zeon RS3-G1ās in 255/40/19 front and 305/30/19 rear. Decent all around tire thus far but Iām only a few day in ;)
