That's exactly what mine does. You can feel it come through the seat. It would make you think the engine is misfiring but I'm starting to think it's just the way the engine might be clearing out residue when it first starts, like a mini backfire.
Know what you mean. I tell myself that if it comes back on it doesn't matter because it's just a light that's on for no real reason, but when it does it's a reminder that my brand new car isn't acting like one.
What do you mean the motor moves a little too much?
I'm starting to think more and more that it's software related, assuming the car isn't running rough. Anyone who works on a computer has had issues that show up and resolve themselves on their own. Sure feels like that to me. Not saying we should be happy about it, but at least it doesn't seem...
11 days/900 miles with it off. Starting to hope just a bit that it took care of itself. Longest I went before this was 6 days with it off since the whole episode started. I didn't do anything that I can point to as a reason for it staying off. Talked to my dealer service guy last week and he...
I did the online survey but there was no mention of a 2 hour interview.
I'm on my 5th day - about 450 miles - with no cel. I spoke with the service manager at my dealership yesterday. He said he hasn't heard anything from Ford Engineering about a fix yet. Still thinks it's a software issue and...
I think I have one of those, too. I got a letter from Ford and started reading it but didn't get too far when it looked like a survey. I'll have to look again.
CEL is off at the moment, BTW. Typically off for a few days then on for a few days then off... Asked my dealer today if Ford has...
I've never run it with anything other than 93 and it's been going on and off on it's own every several days. I don't think it's a gas issue. Still waiting to hear from my dealer who thinks it's software.
I stopped at a place yesterday and asked the guy if they had installed stereos on any 2015 Mustangs. He thought they'd done a few until he saw my car.
"Oh I haven't seen that body style before."
So I'm guessing he hasn't but I didn't press him on it. I'm wondering if anyone has had problems...
Saw this in the other cel thread posted today:
Mustang Ecoboost check engine light
I had the same check engine light on my mustang ecoboost with less than 300 miles. The dealer reset the light and told me it was a soft ware problem. The update should...
I say as long as it's running great let's enjoy it and not let a cel that's probably meaningless take the fun out of it. It's a bit of a drag to have any kind of issue with a brand new car, but at least it seems to be something harmless.
Thanks. Haven't done anything out of the ordinary. I think your idea makes sense, but I don't want to try to provide an artificial fix. If it is software, Ford should be able to come up with some new code.
