Correct ARH told me that they intentionally necked down at the mufflers but that it was primarily to eliminate rasp/drone and it also helps with back pressure/power/tuning. They told me that 3" on a street car was totally unnecessary as they are running some insane amount of HP through their...
I have mine paired with SW long tubes and did my own bottleneck elimination into high flow cats. My car is at the body shop but I'm here now to start the car and get the fluids moving and with all this activity in this thread I'll record a quick cold start video for everyone.
EDIT: Ok so it...
Aren't these 5.2s hand assembled by a niche team of like a dozen specialty assemblers? I'm sure they could bring in more but isn't that part of the allure of buying a SVT/SHELBY product? That signature on the valve cover? Built by hand with pride by.......? Maybe a lack of voodoo's? I have...
Driver mod my ass....drag strip it's off, anywhere else and ur gonna need it if you want to win races. This doesn't seem like a nanny more like the devil sitting on your shoulder saying "do it, I got your back"
Let's lead with tech get over it or sell your 550 buy a fox body, turbo ls swap it...
Problem solved - wire was out of pin lock in harness just enough to not be visible without looking close inside with flashlight. Probably from coming on and off 1000 times but either way for the future P0161 searchers on here that was my issue.....
My dealer replaced my transmission and I'm getting a P0161 (02 heater circuit bank 2) consistently and immediately after I clear it. I do have long tubes but checked all the connections and they all seem fine. I used to get the bank two running lean code after cat but put spacers in and that...
I have it to make heel toe downshifting more enjoyable when you blip the throttle that's why I use it and I can assure you for that purpose it does exactly as described
Thanks brother - I'm sure it's actually a fantastic design for the stock power levels. My car drove and was as quiet as a S Class compared to all my previous mustangs so when I was knocking the design earlier it was just out of frustration. Like you said on the GT-350 they remove because it's...
Yes but I put a lock washer and nut on the backside along with red locktite. The threads are M12x1.5. I am going to try and figure out if I can switch to the four bolt 11-14 but I'm not to optimistic I'm sure the distance is off....
Update - can't get a flange until mid week the earliest. I used a 5 ton 3 jaw puller and pulled the flange out dead straight. Good news? No damage on splines or mating surfaces with the trans......bad news? A little bit of carnage from it spinning around and whacking the other three bolts on...
I'm not even sure it comes off to be honest Jamie....no way this could happen with aftermarket setup as they eliminate that terrible rubber ouido thing
The bolts are not the issue - the threads are totally shot on the tailshaft flange coming out of the MT-82 and in no way shape or form can be rebuilt (unless I pull the flange and bring it to a machine shop) in which case I'd rather replace new, hence the OP....Thank you though.
For those wondering - this is what 700+ whp does when every other driveline component has been updgraded and the car hooks....I have three like this that ripped out of the tailshaft and three more that bent on the "ouido".....
Long story short the tailshaft flange on my 15' GT Premium (3 Bolts) is shot. I had a launch at the track and ripped (and bent) the bolts right out of the threads. I've called around to a ton of dealers and the one that found the part told me they can't sell it to me......Where can I find this...
I spoke with the gentleman who posted here earlier and he's taking the shaft back, repairing and balancing and I'm just paying shipping....they just earned a customer for life.
