I'm another one of the imposters in this thread as I ultimately decided against a GT350, but my 6MT Mach 1 isn't too far off...! Also a fellow P-Car owner here.
4RS is the track car.
Mach 1 is the DD (and very occasional track car).
The RS3 is my wife's. We were close to going with an IS500...
So needed to unplug/replug the fuse, not the battery? I wonder if disconnecting/reconnecting the battery also would have done the trick (although good chance you tried that already).
Huh, today I learned that lugging is apparently a technical term. I thought it was just a colloquial term to describe when someone was putting around in too low of a gear. BRB, gonna google how it's defined. (though happy to read someone's explanation here, too!)
Sorry, which recall are you talking about? I don't recall getting a notice for my 21 for anything that had a fix yet... In any case, if it only started happening after the recall, my first thought would be to ask the dealer to take a quick look. I know many of us, for good reason, are reluctant...
The dash thing is a universal truth with top trim variants of ho-hum sports cars. Always has been, and probably always will be.
Each one of the cars in this comparison is built upon a base platform that costs about 1/4 to 1/10 as much, and each one of them has nearly the exact same interior as...
Yeah, but posting to the sixth page of this thread doesn't really help much lol. It doesn't notify Mikefd that there is a potential seller, though it does at least show the OP a potential buyer.
Ergo, I'm way handsomer than you.
I'm sorry to hear about what you're going through... but it's possible your timing is perfect, and I can't believe no one has tagged @Mikefd yet.
The paint looks absolutely spectacular in that third to last pic.

Yeah my first thought was a leak of the vacuum for the brake booster, especially if the pedal feels fine after the car is started. OP technically didn't specify that part, but based on his post, I assume the pedal returns to normal while the car is running and the brake booster is operating.
Lol who hurt you bro.
Seems slightly better to necro-bump (especially when it was still on the first page) than create a new thread, although you would probably be correct that my odds aren't good either way. I'm open to your input on what the best method would be for getting advice on this...
You don't have to sell me, man. I understand the value of a wrap. I'm just saying a lot of people who would otherwise be willing to drive a car with a fun color just don't because they don't come like that from the factory. And even when they do, dealers often won't order them that way, and most...
Ya know... I think I like it. I think I'd like it even more if the whole car was the color of those purple accents.
The wheels I could take or leave, but they're not bad.
Not many people will go through the hassle or extra cost. I wish factory colors were more interesting by default... Especially on non-sports cars, there's always 6-7 colors, and all but one are various shades of grey/white/black. Two, if you're lucky.
Don't forget the pink Porsche...! and if it was totally up to me, my wife's RS3 woulda been Kyalami Green. But Progressive Red Metallic is a decent second choice.
I don't like muted. I like loud. And I really wish more people did, too... but everyone's afraid of looking "unclassy" or some nonsense.
Anyway, not tryna hate. Just my honest assessment, heh. It's why I wish there was a Grabber Green on the Mach 1... but I love the metallic flake on EG. And...
Under warranty, yeah, dealer is a no brainer... Out of warranty, even if you don't want to do it yourself, find a reputable independent mechanic that ideally specializes in Mustangs. But of course, depending where you live, this may not be easy.
I suspected I would get a lot of preachy replies like this. It's not something I plan to do regularly, but as I mentioned in the OP, sometimes to me it's a matter of principle when a station wants to charge 50% more for premium.
Additionally, I'm just curious if these numbers are available...
It's not just generic inflation. There are several things outside the general macroeconomic influences that are making insurance more expensive, and have been for a while. Cars just keep getting more complex to repair, and parts that used to be simple and cheap now... aren't. Plus, more frequent...
