Yeah I’ve had the same questions in a high g impact if they would hold, hopefully I don’t find out. But for the time on track I’ve had so far and my kids kicking it it’s been fine.
Hey Guys,
Still have this shifter bracket from my Ecoboost drivetrain, mounts the shifter to the trans and improves shifter feel and precision immensely. $50 shipped, hard to beat.
I had one for a GT and one for EB, just the EB one for sale in this post.
Yes you can swap the flanges without opening the diff. But getting proper preload without replacing the crush sleeve is nearly impossible and if not correct you will have a hell of a diff whine. Ask me how I know. Mine was ear piercing at freeway speeds. You may get lucky but be aware you likely...
At least for the 15-17 cars they are not the same as the bell housing bolt patterns are different. Also overall trans length is a bit different between the two (I believe because of the bellhousing differences). Hence why FTBR makes a shift bracket for each variant. trans cross member is also...
KAM reset can't hurt and there are a number of anecdotal stories of it helping so I'd do it as well. I've done it a number of times after mods and never had a problem. Seems like one of those "can't hurt and maybe it'll help" scenarios. Changing the clutch changes how the engine responds to...
Hey guys, sorry I'm sure the answer is somewhere here already though I cannot find the cliff's notes.
A buddy is offering to give me the engine from his 2016 F150 to use to build a backup/built motor for my mustang. I would build up an aluminator clone or something of the like, no crazy 1500hp...
Caliper garage 3d printed string alignment kit, 2x4 cribs, and vinyl floor tiles. I'm able to get great results (better than my local shop) and I actually enjoy the work. Still getting faster each time I do it, takes about 2hrs for camber and toe front and back.
I liked the FTBR bracket so well on my Ecoboost that I bought one again when I swapped drivetrain to the Coyote. That and Motul DCTF is a great combo. A bit more NVH as the shifter is then mounted to the trans, but thats a tradeoff you have to accept if you want more precise shifts.
I have my...
I had this same exact thought process for lower gears in my GT and it worked out just as I’d hoped. GT350 will be a bit different but say do it, for where your head is at it will work out like you expect and the fun factor of rowing through more gears will be a blast. It is for me.
