gt350 axles are longer on both sides, IIRC about 3/8". Prob for the brake drum mount thickness. They also don't use the thrust washer. So if you go gt350 axles on your GT, don't use the thrust washers and they fit.
my driver side loosens each event even with red loctite and ford's torque spec, so I check mine after each event like I check my oil. Wish they would have just reverse threaded the driver's side.
There are too many variables that are car/track/driver/weather dependent to give a reliable answer here. You just need to go for it and keep an eye on temps.
-12an on the cast setrab plate is tight but fits. And at least with coilovers my -12 lines fit under the sway bar (sitting on the subframe) without being pinched.
Ford performance recommends -12.
At least based on the tracks I drove there wasn’t going to be any passive cooling efficient enough to keep temps down for me. So active it was.
as an aside and shameless plug my trans cooler setup linked above is for sale if anyone is interested. I also built a diff cooler very similar to the...
Well it could help recovery time as flow is greater at the same temps. I saw another thread where a 170* tstat was fully open at 205. So a 190* must be a fair bit higher. So I imagine it could help even on track.
Indeed a grill block off plate helped wonders. Zip ties on in 1min. I have done the upper grill so far. I also put a small bypass hole only in front of the rad to give it a little more airflow and keep oil cooler without any flow to fine tune.
And I’m even adding more cooling now and will...
