  1. Interesting dyno test (cats and boost)

Very interesting Mike, thanks again for taking the time to share the results of your testing with the community. I find the result also quite interesting because I would expect a drop in power with the drop to .73 lambda from .78, not the other way around. .73 is quite rich, cat protection aside.
  2. GEN3 5.0L Mustang GT Engine Prep for Road Courses (HPDE)

Be careful with that string of logic. You could say the same about any car not just mods. “Wow that guy bought a mustang instead of a Miata and $20k on coaching”
  3. Fastest and quickest Ecoboost in the world!!

That is absolutely nuts. Hats off to Jessie. Somebody buy this guy a beer.
  4. California FTBR Transmission Shifter Bracket

Bracket to solid mount your shifter to the trans vs to the body (stock). Improves shifting precision and feel dramatically. Slight nvh increase. Pic has two, one is sold so one left. $60 shipped.
  5. GEN3 5.0L Mustang GT Engine Prep for Road Courses (HPDE)

If you must, I’d say gears. 4.09’s are a drastic improvement with the ‘18+ MT82. I found the gears wayyyyy too long even with 3.73’s. 4th is still too long with 4.09’s but much better than before. As for engine reliability I’d say gt500 oil pump and pan. Like most engines, these coyotes live...
  6. Fuel starvation on track

I installed a transfer pump in the passenger hanger, with a hose that crosses over the saddle and dumps into the bucket the main fuel pump sits in. I used to starve on long lefts below 3/4 tank. Have run this setup to 1/4 tank no problems but not going to go below that. If you’re handy it’s a...
  7. Mysterious Coolant Leak

Misfire at idle is an ever so slight hiccup/mild pop as a cylinder misses a combustion cycle. Some misfires in direct injection engines is normal and the Ecu allows for a certain count before a code but keep an ear out for them and see if frequency is increasing over time. Also if your...
  8. Mysterious Coolant Leak

If you end up getting misfires at startup it’s likely the head gasket. On these motors you can get headgasket leaks so small/slow that they even pass a leakdown test. I did.
  9. California Weighted Shift Knob

Scott Drake extinguisher mount, 2 rivnuts in the trans tunnel and you’re good to go.
  10. California Weighted Shift Knob

This thing helps with MT82 nibbles and feels great in the hand. Still have it.
  11. Help with my flooded mustang

Those U codes are generally either when two modules lose communication or when the an unexpected response/communication between modules exists. Such as modules with mismatched programmed vin’s or wiring issues. Might be firmware programming mismatches too. However those codes would not prevent...

  15. DIY Wheel Cribbing

Thanks. 16” x 12”. Fits 305’s fine. I have coilovers so minimal droop. Jack the pinch weld to full height on one side, insert cribs. Repeat on other side. Reverse to remove them. @Biggsy the forces on track cornering are multiples of jacking and a bit of lean doing so, unless your suspension...
  16. DIY Wheel Cribbing

Made a set of these as well, thanks for the idea guys. Makes alignments a joy.
  17. S550 engine removal

if going out the bottom is not an option (by far the best) you can also go out the front. Going out the top was not going to work with my engine hoist with the trans on so I took off the front bumper and crash bar and came out the front. Very tight squeeze but worked, transmission attached.
  18. Switching from magneride to coilovers

You will be speed limited to 70mph without MR stimulators/emulators. I bought the Xineering ones and they've worked perfectly.
  19. String Alignment

I built the cribs for the height of my floor Jack. Jack from the side all the way up, place cribbing under those wheels and repeat for the other side. 3mins max.
