My dealer called yesterday to say my car is in Southampton, and will be there sometime next week. Friday next week will be 10 weeks since it was built.
I am keeping my diary largely free for next week now. Its not staying at the dealers a minute longer than it has to!
But as tax goes up every April he will get the lower rate every year he keeps it, so in the long term tax on 31st march saves money compared to April 1st.
Good spec you chose. Mine is also a manual GT in Guard with saddle leather, but mine has the custom pack and is a soft top. It arrived in Belgium nearly 2 weeks ago, and no news since. Should be here soon!!

Yes, I see your point. I was hoping mine might not take as long as yours (you do seem to be taking a long time at each stage). And I dont know how often transporters are sent to the dealers. But as we British are good at queuing yoy should get yours before me considering when it was made!

I was told 14 days from arrival in Zeebrugge to Southampton. Mine arrived in Belgium on Monday this week. I wonder if I will the 2 cars will end up on the same transporter to Leeds?

I have had a few autos over the years. Currently have a 3.6 Wrangler. Not a drivers car as such, but a nice way to travel, but for the bloody awful gearbox they force on us in the UK. Its not as bad as some older slush boxes, but I dont know why they think no one in the UK wants a manual...
I have a GT vert on the way. Its manual. I dont realy get on with auto boxes (but am pleased Ford offer the Choice). I suspect the proportion of manual coupes will be higher than manual soft tops as the coupe is bound to be a better drivers car, being stiffer, but I am happy to sacrifice that in...
