  1. What other cars, bikes, boats or planes do you own?

I completely agree. How they could get it all so wrong, after making such good cars in the 90's etc i dont know. Back in 1997 i saw a 405 T16 for sale, it was ÂŁ12k, and that was too much for me then. i also wasnt convinced about LHD, but deep down i know i should have bought it. I actually...
  2. First sight of me car!

The black touches make a great car SO much better looking
  3. What other cars, bikes, boats or planes do you own?

I too have a Monaro, although mine is not a VRX. I got it December 2005, and although it hasnt had much use this year since the Mustang arrived, its tucked away in the garage waiting for the better weather to return. The other car in the garage is my Peugeot 405 MI16 LeMans. That too hasnt seen...
  4. Well, this is going to be hard

Wow. That is WILL POWER! There is no way i could wait all those months knowing it was there waiting for me. Give yourself a christmas present and bring it home. you wont regret it
  5. Key jammers in the news

It does. I have one on mine right now.
  6. Waiting for Stang, tempted by a Camaro!

I suggest you get in touch with http://www.ianallanvirginiawater.co.uk/camaro-in-virginia-water, as Twin turbo pointed out they are the only official place in the UK to get a Camaro. I was interested in a Corvette, so they drove one up to Yorkshire for me to test drive. They seem like good...
  7. MY18: What features would make you trade in?

Only thing that really frustrates me with the current car is its awful throttle response, although when i get a puncture i imagine Ford not giving us a spare will annoy me more. I wouldn't mind a better wheel choice too. I am really getting to hate cleaning the standard ones.
  8. Safty features work

If you go for a factory order paid from insurance, you will end up with the cheaper road tax by the time it turns up. A small silver lining in a crappy cloud.
  9. 10000 Miles

i have just passed 3,000 miles, and no chips yet. I have to say, i am very impressed with the quality of the paint on the car.
  10. Here's my Race Red GT

Beautiful car you have there. I assume you are keeping the Monaro as well? Mine has spent the year in the garage hardly used as i drive the Mustang far more, being new, but the Monaro still makes me smile when i do get it out on the road. I agree with you about the over servo'd brakes too, but...
  11. 10000 Miles

i too agree with lone survivor, i wouldnt have a Mustang without the V8. Nor would i have bought one if they were only available with an auto box. I have no issue with anyone who wanted either the 4 pot, or the auto, or even both. i think its great we have the choice. But it did have to be RHD.
  12. To celebrate the birth......

congratulations on its birth. Is the pony just for Halloween?
  13. So how was your Ford experience today?

i had my recall done today. After a dodgy start when the service desk said they wanted my car for half a day, and having to pay for a loan car, i spoke to the right person, who agreed they only needed it for an hour and to do it while i wait. So i turned up at 5 to 1 for a 1 o'clock booking, and...
  14. So how was your Ford experience today?

At just before 2900 miles i too got the 'change oil soon' warning yesterday. I still have the loom recall outstanding too as the garage weren't helpful with that when i enquired about it a month ago. They insisted i needed to leave the car half a day, and were going to charge me for a loan car...
  15. Underseal at Zeebrugge.

Manders, whilst i wish you well with this, all motor manufacturers say they reserve the right to change spec without telling anyone first. They do provide a corrotion warranty, so in a way its up to them how well the car is protected so they dont have to honour the warranty. My take is that, no...
  16. Flat Rock idled for a week....

Although its infuriating having to wait as we do for our cars, i agree with others that the factory wont have the parts to make all the outstanding RHD orders. Nor do Ford appear to have the capacity to deal with their distribution. They dont have anywhere to put the finished cars, the capacity...
  17. 5k Charity Run

Stark, I was trying to work out if you were driving 5K, Keeping the revs above 5K for a charity drive, and then i discover you are doing this on foot! Anyway good for you, i left a small donation. The video of you and Jordan arranged by Andy was brilliant! All the best
  18. Mustang GT in MPG contest

I went to Cornwall last weekend, did 750 miles, at an average of 29.0. the journey down was at just over 30, and i did 350 miles before i filled it up (with 15 miles left according to the computer). The motorway was quite busy. i wasnt trying to get good economy, thats just what you get for mile...
  19. Loom recall

I had agood look at the car today. The loom is a long way away from the manifold, and very nicely covered in silver tape. I doubt anything does need doing, and suspect the letter was another Ford cock up.
  20. Loom recall

Spoke to the dealer, who said they wanted the car for half a day, and i have to pay for a loan car! i dont have half a day free for them any time soon, but as it hasnt burned to the ground in the last 5 months, i doubt it will any time soon. They cant be too bothered either as the first day they...
