I see! I had suspected the mic had something to do with it, but figured since I hear a similar tone in many of the different exhaust videos for this car, that it was just the engine. Next time i'm in Chicago perhaps I can hear your car in the flesh!
Hi Fred, I extensively tracked my GT3 for two years, it was basically a cup car for the street. I've had to downsize to just one car so the GT3 and daily went...the mustang will become a double duty for me. I will try out the ford springs that come with the kit first but possibly interested in...
The volume and tone your car produces is very close to what I want but there is still a bit of rasp/crackle at WOT from what I can hear on the exterior video in your thread?
It sounds great, just wish there was a touch more volume! Might have to look at doing an axle back of some sort and have a resonator fitted separately.
I am also looking for a deep, organised tone without the raspy crackling/frackling sound at WOT. Wouldn't mind increasing flow and doing away with the factory resonator at the same time.
It seems that all of the catbacks out there with h-pipes and x-pipes create the unwanted raspy/crackle sound...
I've spent a lot of time recently watching various youtube videos (usually AM as they shoot with the same car and same angles) comparing all of the exhaust options and it seems like pretty much every catback exhaust for the GT is quite raspy and crackly at WOT. X-pipe is worse but H-pipe also...
Ahh yes, I have seen those before. Thanks for clarifying. They seem like an easy fit post instal so will look into it if the FR springs create some noise (I haven't come across any complaints on this kit in the searching I did but you never know till you know).
Yes 996 definitely not a...
FreeRein your point about the spring isolators in the FR3 package..I am using the ford progressive springs that come with the kit. It says to swap the factory rubber isolator from the rear springs over to the new one when you install. You are suggesting not to do this?
I just sold my 996 GT3...
I have placed quite a few big orders from Adams over the years (more than I care to admit!) but have slowly moved away from their products. I am by no means a professional, far, far from it. I just like to try different stuff. I actually have a DA6-Pro that has been sitting in its box for over...

Gibbo, those are some fantastic results. What exhaust mods do you have and where is your rev limit? Did you do oil pump gears? I wonder how the 350 intake would perform with the exhaust left as factory....
Also can you detail as to why it is that you prefer the factory TB to the 350 TB?
