I've been toying with the Roush and magnaflow resonated x-pipe. Takes away a bit of the farty sound at the top of the rev range. I think there was a guy in the UK on here that had done that set up and it sounded good in the videos.
Did you end up needing to adjust the castor? I was thinking I'll go with the Steeda plates as they're only camber adjustable which is one less thing to have to mess with.
Thanks for the feedback. I have heard they do wear quickly. Obviously you can still flip directionals in order to rotate them effectively but yes, more work and expense to re-balance etc.
I spent days agonising over which colour rim to choose on a group buy for Apex wheels, really wanted anthracite as it catches the light and shows off the detail of the wheel nicely, just doesn't go well with magnetic :(. Black is aggressive but is a safe bet these days, always looks good, I just...
Magnetic is a great colour but funny with wheels. Personally I think the opposite end of extremes (i.e. Black or Silver) are the only colours that work with it. Only my opinion!
The Steeda is defintely a more under the radar look. I like the quality of their products in general but the splitter looks a little cheap? Need to see some more pics of it
Anyone out there dailying their S550 with an APR splitter? How practical is it? The S550 doesn't seem ridiculously low and the APR splitter is only slightly extended from the front fascia but I would like to know experiences with speed humps, driveways etc.
I'm going with the Ford Racing...
kapiteinlangzaam after living with this set up for a while would you say it would be ok for a daily driver? Is there any drone in the cabin? How is the volume in the cabin at normal road speeds? Are you able to control the volume easily with your throttle input?
I am considering this (along...
A little harshness in the suspension doesn't bother me but a suspension that doesn't settle over bumps does because it hampers the ability to drive off the corner. I figured the bounce that lots of people refer to on these forums is due to the latter, mostly because of fitting stiffer springs...
Interesting that the rear is still bouncy with the track handling kit. I thought the Ford Racing kit would cure that. I have this kit in order, might have to spec the Steeda shock mounts too.
Also doesn't the FR track kit come with new bumpstops?
Ok thanks for the tip. I might try and completely button up one side before starting on the other. I'll
be doing it solo so might have to empty the swear jar before beginning.
Did you drop both sides at the samw time? I've heard it's easier to do if you do one side at a time. Were you able to temporarily get the bolt back in with the OEM brace? I'll be doing mine myself but don't want to get stuck in case I need a shop to finish the job.
Seems to be a few Porsche track junkies over on these forums :D. Silly Australia doesn't get GT350Rs so I have to build a GT instead to get my fix.
I like what you're doing, can't wait to see some footage of the action.
