What else did he tell you? :)
My take is this:
-The only way the F/I TT V8 would work is if it's used in the F150 and the Mustang. We're on Gen 2 3.5 Ecoboost V6 with the 2017 F150, right? So is the play that the 2.7EB will remain, and the N/A 5.0 and the Gen 2 3.5EB will be replaced by an...
It better be! The EB sounds awful, and I hate V6s that are loud but not really that quick. Based on their strategy with the S550, there may not even be a V6. The V6 is more of a Cafe deficit than the EB. IMO, they should drop the EB price point (like the LS trim on the 2.0T Camaro), and...
We will soon!
I am going for my baseline tomorrow (stock tune), and then a follow-up on Tuesday (PP1 installed).
Fun fact, the PP1 tune reduced my 60-115 time by about .60 of a second.
I'm on the stock spring.
Honestly, I don't notice it too much. I've tried to quick shift without flat footing and it hasn't kicked in. Its raining in my area, so I haven't had too much opportunity to mess with it.
I have an ASE number and a receipt from my shop. It was easier if I did the leg work. They helped me out with the rest.
EDIT:. Let me explain that better. Anyone, shop or customer, has to reg. the tune online if they want to download the ProCal3 and calibration. You receive the cal. that...
Alright guys, here's my longer review of PP1 ...
Loading the Tune
I purchased the kit from Levittown a few days ago and it arrived yesterday afternoon. The box contained a K&N filter (soaked in grease as usual), the FRPP OBD2 flashloader, a directions sheet, and a connector from flashloader...
So I actually got my PP1 in the mail yesterday and loaded on the tune.
After about 65 miles, it's obvious the car is quicker, the throttle response is better, and no lift shift makes acceleration more efficient. I paid $402 shipped from Levittown, and for that money it's totally worth it...
Hi guys, thanks for this post.
There's been some discussion on this dyno.
Per another member, here's the overlay. Looks odd. What gives?
Was there any adaptation period after you loaded it, or did you do a baseline and do a pull right after with the new tune? Why not take it up to 7200...
It could be an S550 or E85 thing. I haven't owned a car where I've used E85. My S197 could load the tune and go from there. Who knows. My plan was to wait a few days after it was installed, anyway.
I agree. I am going for the baseline on 10/27, and the follow-up on 11/1, so it'll be a...
Just placed an order at @LevittownFordParts for PP1. Thanks for the help, Benny!
Baseline dyno scheduled for 10/27. Follow-up on 11/1. We'll see what happens!
It's no secret that Ford service is sub par. The ridiculous quotes, resistance, carelessness and laziness is why the brand consistently ranks low on JD Power CSI. My car came from the factory with the lower grille incorrectly aligned with the tabs. I am holding off on taking it to the dealer...
This is the overlay of the before and after LMR dyno. There are weird dips in the curve, and that's why I want to do a comparison after a proper adaptation period (so dumb, no other tune needs this). If they show up on my sheets, then we'll know the tune is wonky.
I am willing to buy PP1 and do a before and after dyno. I'd get a baseline, pay the shop to 'install' the tune, and come back a few days later after its had time to adapt.
I sent a PM to Autonation Ford White Bear Lake; we'll see where this goes. I don't like oiled filters, so I ordered an...
I can't describe to your how annoying it is there is no panel cone for the 15+ S550's. When I had a stock airbox on my '14, I ran this aFe filter:

I just purchased an AEM dry flow panel last night. I would've jumped on the...
