No this is on a Borla atak.
The 44 is a lot quieter than the super 10 but they sound identical.
we can’t fit a 44 or 40 anyway to our manuals because our manual handbrake mechanism gets in the way.
Yep I had the same complaint.
that’s why I added the super 10. It takes away that roaring sound that you’re describing.
I honestly think you will really enjoy this setup.
When I first got my Bullitt I was really disappointed in the sound.
I love the sound of a V8 say at 50mph in 5th gear...
Try this with your current setup…
1. start the car
2. Set exhaust to Normal mode
3. Pull fuse number 34 under the hood.
it will leave the active exhaust stuck in normal.
now take the car for a drive and cruise particularly in 4th and 5th gear and report back to how you think the car sounds...
Honestly I haven’t noticed any drone at all from this setup. The closer the super 10 is to the headers the less drone it will make. It’s usually a chambered muffler at the end that causes drone but in this setup the pulses have time to move before they go out the back of the car…
question.. Do...
Yep makes sense.
Made a much better sound, sounds deep and also sounds very refined. Will be a little quieter than the H pipe but louder and better than the Borla resonator.
best way to describe the sound is like the old fox body stangs.
Only do it if you like the chambered exhaust sound. I love that classic sound personally.
Use a super 10 though. It keeps the car loud and deep. The 40 or 44 series won’t fit well under the car.
Yep that’s me buddy.
mid mount a super 10 in place of the H pipe. It now sounds amazing.
Believe me or not I’ve actually got a power gain over the H pipe. Some really nice low end torque now as well.
obviously if you don’t like that classic chambered sound I wouldn’t do it.
It really does sound like a classic mustang. Really deep and rumbles and doesn’t scream when your getting on it.
very clean refined sound I must say I’m really impressed with it so far.
People kept putting me off because it’s a flowmaster but they sound amazing
Really important :
If you have a manual the flowmaster 40 or 44 series won’t fit……
The manual handbrake lever is in the way and you will need to have the muffler so low it will scrape the floor.
that’s why I went with a super 10. It sounds just like the 40 only slightly louder.
Hi All
I have now attached a Flowmaster sĂşper 10 mid mounted to my Stype catback and it sounds amazing guys.
I’ll upload some video soon.
But it has given my Bullitt that old school chambered bass tone and the volume is spot on in loudness.
don’t know why flowmaster get so much hate this thing...
Also is you intake completely stock ?.
have you also tried to clean the MAF?.
I would do that first and then seriously consider the Steeda tune or you’ll just keep throwing money at it and it won’t fix it.
Ok,
So I’ll tell you how I fixed it.
I did everything the same as you, plugs coils, maf, everything.
Ford didn’t want to know and they said it’s working fine.
I had a tune from the US and the stock tune still gave me problems.
I decided to risk it and got a tune from Steeda and the Steeda...
