  1. Never Letting My Girlfriend Drive My Mustang Again...

Love the relationship advice on this post! 🤣
  2. Never Letting My Girlfriend Drive My Mustang Again...

Yeah, frustrating but as long as no one was physically hurt then that’s the main thing. Your car can be easily fixed. As others have said, buff out what you can which will probably make it look ten times better. Looking at your photos though I doubt that will get it all out so my next stop...
  3. Side light bulb replacement

Many thanks for confirming the bulbs can be replaced without having to replace the whole unit. As you say though, whether I can get them out and back in again with the unit in place is another matter! I’ll have a poke around at the weekend to see what’s the ā€˜art of the possible.’ Thanks again...
  4. Side light bulb replacement

I assume (and it is an assumption) that the housing has two bulbs - one for the indicator and one for the ā€˜side light.’ It could well be a different set up in the US though (I’m from the UK). Now, what I don’t know is if those bulbs can be changed without changing the whole housing. I’m pretty...
  5. Side light bulb replacement

Apologies for any potential misunderstanding but I mean the light that’s with the indicator light which is under the main headlight in the lower section of the bumper (see below). So not the day time running lights (DRLs) which are the 3 bars within the main headlight cluster.
  6. Side light bulb replacement

Many thanks - I didn’t think it would be an easy swap even if you could do it! I might give it a go though, but I’m not sure my hand and arms will fit down the gaps! 🤣 Not sure if access will be easier from underneath? I’ll be getting and installing a lower splitter in the next couple months so...
  7. Side light bulb replacement

Hi all. Has anyone changed a bulb in their front sidelights or are they sealed units? For aesthetic reasons I’d like to replace the bulbs with a ā€˜cold light’ bulb so that it better matches the LED main lights above. I think it looks a bit weird and kind of makes the car look older with the...
  8. UK car meet groups...

Well, that’s all a bit moody and definitely isn’t something you would expect. In my experience, just speaking to people in the petrol garage for example, that kind of behaviour isn’t generally representative of Mustang owners and enthusiasts, so the organisers could be shooting themselves in the...
  9. UK car meet groups...

Ah right. So you’ve tried to join in but have essentially been shunned?
  10. UK car meet groups...

I can’t say I’ve ever been to any group meets. What is the general idea with them - simply for Mustang owners to get together and talk about and show off their cars? Or are they meant to be more structured?
  11. Is MagneRide a must have?

I’m not sure if suspension specs are the same in the UK, but in the last month I’ve gone from a GT without MR to a Mach 1 with MR. As others have said, in daily driving you can definitely feel the difference as the MR car is less bouncy and more smooth riding, but I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s...
  12. Would you guys trade in your current mustang for the 2024 dark horse

I’d be open to the idea in 3 years time when no doubt I’ll fancy a bit of a change. However, I’d have to see it in the flesh, sit in one and take it for a test drive before knowing if I wanted one or not. Like many have said, some of its looks and interior choices seem a bit challenging. The...
  13. Then and now. The visual evolution thread.

Only relatively minor stuff for me (until I change it completely to a Mach 1 on Saturday! 🤣) Bonnet stripes Yellow brake calipers GT rear spoiler The day I got her in Aug 2020 and how she is now
  14. A Good Deal?

Appreciate your (and everyone’s) view - it’s been really helpful. Having thought about I think I’m going to decline the deal and keep the GT. Had the Mach 1 blown me away and felt (to me) night and day different to my GT then I would have gone for it but apart from having a Mach 1 on my driveway...
  15. A Good Deal?

Yeah, it’s a high rate but very much the world we live in at the moment (for a PCP deal on a second hand car at any rate).
  16. A Good Deal?

Apologies - I misunderstood. The interest rate is factored into the figures. So the additional £100 a month I said will be just that - it already includes the interest rate of 12.9%.
  17. A Good Deal?

Interest rate offered is fixed so won’t change thankfully. Unfortunately though the rate is much higher than when I got my car. I got my car on a 0% finance deal two and half years ago but you obviously won’t get that now. For brand new cars in the UK (which receive manufacturer support), the...
  18. A Good Deal?

Thanks all - some really interesting and sensible points here. I said I’d let the sales guy know on Tuesday. As many of you have said, ultimately if it’s something I can afford and will get pleasure from it then go for it. I normally don’t worry about resale value too much as is always flip my...
  19. A Good Deal?

Yes, Ā£9,800 will be the total additional outlay that I’ll explicitly have to pay over the full term. However, that doesn’t include the Ā£7K equity I have in my car. So whilst I don’t have to pay that Ā£7K myself, in a sense I’m still losing it as if I sold my car today and didn’t buy a new one I’d...
  20. A Good Deal?

It’s over 4 years. So if I keep the car that long it would be an additional Ā£4,800.
