I wanted a stage 1 too and was too late when you were clearing them out for the stage 2. Waited to see how the stg2 was. I'm all in on the ts 2. Keep the info coming.
I haven't looked at a stock EB dyno in a while, but it's because at 6k on the stock tune it's well past its power peak and power is dropping off a cliff. So it's easy to show a huge gain there. Peak to peak is where you can total power gains against each tune.
Yours came with a drain valve? Mine came with a plug on the bottom of the can. I bought a couple of fittings from harbor freight and rigged up a drain valve with a hose so I can drain it from the wheel well area.
I used the Airaid tube from the airbox to turbo in conjunction with the stock box and an AEM dry flow. The tube is larger but they all neck down to the stock size where it couples to the turbo, so not sure of the effects.
Absolutely, but there are many who believe in manufacturers dyno sheets and YouTube videos as the basis for their builds. Find someone who's done it and follow the path already created and you're set.
Good luck then. I would ask that you post the failures you encounter on the way to your goal, to show what doesn't work as well as what could eventually work. My feeling is that a lot of Ecoboost owners look at a few magical videos on YouTube and look at times of a handful of cars on a forum...
You're talking gear swaps and extreme summer performance tires as well as other costly mods in other threads. If you're going to track the car a couple of times a year some dr's would be a no brainer. Believe it or not, you don't even have to use a lift to change the tires. I own an EB for some...
Fair enough, but if you're looking into specialty tires and adding traction compound to add grip you're just doing what a drag radial does in the first place. When you're driving the streets without the magical tire softener you're in the same situation as having no dr's.
