  1. Ford Dealers are Terrible

My car chirps too when I let off the gas quickly after WOT. It’s a 2019 EcoBoost. I think it’s normal. Honestly a lot of sounds are normal and it’s better to not even take your car to the dealer. Who knows they could rip a part out of it and replace it with a worn out one
  2. How come my calculated engine torque is so much less than the manufacturer's specifications?

Thx for the reply. There are a lot of good points here.
  3. How come my calculated engine torque is so much less than the manufacturer's specifications?

From my dash. It’ll do 0.74g with brake boost but that’s using the torque converter to multiply torque. To eliminate that, I did no brake boost launch and got 0.67g on the dash. I think it’s pretty accurate since the same sensor is used to deploy airbags I’m assuming
  4. How come my calculated engine torque is so much less than the manufacturer's specifications?

I didn’t get the equations from anywhere. Just common sense. I know the calculations I did are correct. Maybe I am missing a factor that I didn’t account for. 379 ft-lb torque at the wheels would be impossible since the engine torque is 350 and there’s expected up to 25% loss through transmission.
  5. How come my calculated engine torque is so much less than the manufacturer's specifications?

Here are my calculations. Am I doing anything wrong?
  6. Automatic Ecoboost Has More Acceleration Than Manual GT???

Nope. Wouldn’t drifting on pavement do more damage? Tires gone, more stress on driveline, trans, engine and body.
  7. Automatic Ecoboost Has More Acceleration Than Manual GT???

100% correct. We are taking about the maximum force being put back in your seat. Not racing
  8. Automatic Ecoboost Has More Acceleration Than Manual GT???

His question was specifically about why don’t you need to tell a dyno what gear you’re in. So I wanted to emphasize on that point. But yes you are right. You can take the explanation another step further. It does originally measure angular acceleration of the drum.
  9. Who's the GENIUS?

I've done many rolling burnouts and to end them, I lift off the gas quickly and completely. No issues. This guy on YouTube said "lift off slowly and not completely". Tried that and almost ended up like this guy. What's up with "don't lift quickly"? Lifting slowly almost made me crash while...
  10. Automatic Ecoboost Has More Acceleration Than Manual GT???

For others who are interested, a dyno measures wheel force ex) 5000lbf. Then it will measure engine RPM and wheel RPM as well to calculate the gear ratios and wheel radius. That’s why you don’t have to tell it gear ratios or wheel size. It will derive them from data and convert wheel torque to...
  11. Automatic Ecoboost Has More Acceleration Than Manual GT???

I’m not even going to explain this. Me and other members have explained HP and TQ to you but you refuse to believe what we’re saying and you’re substituting your own incorrect beliefs. Why should I explain dynos now if you’re just gonna say nuhuh.
  12. Automatic Ecoboost Has More Acceleration Than Manual GT???

I don’t know. You tell me
  13. Automatic Ecoboost Has More Acceleration Than Manual GT???

I don’t even know what to say. Maybe some day you will find out what you said is factually and objectively incorrect.
  14. Automatic Ecoboost Has More Acceleration Than Manual GT???

Yeah. My A10 Ecoboost can never spin tires in a straight line when flooring it at peak torque in first on good dry clean pavement. I think it’s because it takes time for the turbo to spool up which means it eases into the power instead of shocking the tires like an NA will. This causes weight...
  15. Automatic Ecoboost Has More Acceleration Than Manual GT???

Literally just go understand F=ma and T=Fr
  16. Automatic Ecoboost Has More Acceleration Than Manual GT???

Now this begs the question. How come the manual GT has more traction issues in first gear than the automatic ecoboost?
  17. Automatic Ecoboost Has More Acceleration Than Manual GT???

If I did account for those 3 things each and everyone would be in favour of the ecoboost. Not accounting them currently is going against the ecoboost’s numbers and it still has greater wheel torque
