I want to thank Paul for all the information and help getting my new wheel/tire order in.
Glad our winter doesn't break for months yet. It will make the wait for my new M600's a little easier. :D
Interesting that they don't have immediate access to a manual PP GT. I would have thought that the majority of testing would have been done on that platform since you would expect a lot of the road course guys would be interested in this upgrade.
I certainly hope they get these issues fixed...
I just haven't been able to pull the trigger on either of the 2 previous GT350 style wheels for some reason - something just didn't feel quite right as far as putting them on my car. I love both of them, but every time I thought I was ready to place an order, I'd pull back.
Maybe I was...
Stereo upgrades?!? Terabytes worth of playlists?!? I find myself constantly turning the music down or turning the radio off completely so I can hear the music coming out of my GT's wonderful set of pipes. :headbang:
I have the FRPP. Touring, which is the Borla Touring, and it sounds really good. So good that I wish I had gone with the louder Sport version. I had the mufflers off when I was doing suspension work and drove it for a week with no mufflers and it sounded awesome - like the GT350 in Sport mode...
What brand fabric marker did you use? I did my GT350 Steering Wheel in December and have not had ANY blue ink end up on my hands, even when they get a little sweaty.
Finally had a chance to install my MGW. I can't believe I drove with that stock shifter and all the mis-shifts for 750 miles!
I really like my MGW in my 2007, but this new Race Spec is awesome with the GT350 shaft & GT350 shift knob. Throws are perfect and no mis-shifts.
Edit: Yeah, after...
Yeah until I put the mufflers back on, there won't be any noticeable driveline noise.
I went with red to start since most of my driving will be street. Still need to put another 400 miles on before I can get onto a road course. I'll evaluate the red on the road course, or just swap to black...
I have quite a bit of your stuff under my 2007, and a couple other 2007's I no longer own, and they've all been great products, so as expected, the cradle lockout kit did not disappoint.
I have the Borla Ford Performance Touring Cat-Back exhaust and there is no drone. Sounds great, not too raspy. Would like to swap the X-pipe for an H-pipe to get a little deeper rumble, but would prefer if Borla offered one that I could just swap without any modifications to the system...
I haven't installed mine yet - just showed up this week, and I had to finish up the suspension work today. But when I ordered my GT Race Spec shifter, I had George install the GT350 shaft so that I can install my GT350 shift knob without making any modifications to the shift knob. :headbang:
I was extremely disappointed in the overall handling of my new GT PP when I picked it up early last fall. Initially, when first driving the new 15 GT PP when they first came out, I was impressed by the factory handling compared to the previous generation Mustang.
BUT, after driving my leased...
I installed my CB005 kit this morning.
Some notes to make installation of the CB005 kit a whole lot easier:
Follow the BMR instructions regarding loosening/removing the 21mm subframe bolts and supporting the cradle.
USE A COUPLE OF WRATCHET STRAPS TO HELP GET THE CRADLE ALIGNED, AND...
Benny,
Are the GT350 Shift Boots, Part Number: FR3Z-7277-EA, in stock? I'm able to add it to my cart, but want to know if it's actually available to be shipped out immediately before I place the order.
Thanks,
Ed
