I've used Forscan to monitor idle misfires. As well I can feel it in the Steering Wheel and see and hear it in the the exhaust. Especially now in the cold weather I get Steam rings.
As stated earlier I have been told the logs are good by multiple people not just the tuners.
I have no more...
I wouldn't go as far as it being a lemon.
Just every once in a while it hesitates when I hit the pedal at mid RPMs. Which is not the end of the world but shouldn't happen.
And and Idle misfire which doesn't have anything to do with drivability or performance.
I am going to get a tune built...
I'll look into them but that is a whole different Motor etc. I wouldn't feel comfortable going against 2 different tuners recommended plugs. I'd be asking for trouble.
Logs with different revisions have been gone over by Lund and Wengerd both said they were good. Fuel trims, injector cycles etc all good. And my relationship with both of them is over due to on-going down hill negative conversations about this. This misfire problem has been going on for close...
2 different top tuners have told me to use the NGK6510 plugs gapped at 26 or 28 for my 10-11 lbs boost.
I've tried 2 different sets or maybe 3 now. Lol
But it's worth a shot to try something else I guess.
On the Coil matter my set up is very simple 674/535 and guys with big boy power are still...
I had Catted ARH Longtubes.
Lund thought that it might be the Cats getting clogged so I instead of dicking around removed the Headers and went with an OEM set of exhaust with about 80 miles on them.
No change.
Yes have been told by non Mustang owners it's the nature of the beast. If it was...
NGK6510
Have tried .028" and .026". Have thought of bumping it up to .030" just to see but haven't yet.
No never thought of using those Coils.
I bought brand new OEM Coils.
I mean they work for thousands of others right?
I hear you I've been staring at two minute little dents in my roof for two years. Lol
No one else can even see them but I DO every damned time I get in the thing. The dents are on side rail (support?) and wouldn't be an easy fix.
I've thought of changing out the TB but that would be an expensive and questionable option without issues poining at it. And it functions great otherwise.
And this is the second tuner with no change in Misfire.
But thx for the reply.
Any opinions are welcomed at this point.
Whether they fixed the problem or not, why not say the name of the shop?
Myself, if I lived around there I would want to know the name of the shop that could do this kind of damage by a simple Strut Brace installation.
If you did mention the name my apologies, I had to skip all the bitching posts.
2017 6R80 Gen 3 Whipple.
Stage 2 closed airbox.
Anyone have an Idle Misfire and have done absolutely everything to find it with no success?
Or after trying everything you solved it with a rare fix? Car has NO CODES but shows Misfires at idle on all cylinders at varying times on different drive...
I don't see why not. They're cheap and lots of used ones out there.
Clean your MAF, Intake tube and Throttle body and throw one on. And you could always go a step further and remove the Manifold and clean the excess oil. Why let more oil accumulate if you don't have to.
His profile says he was on here yesterday. When was the last time you heard from the guy?
If he was on here he obviously had the time to get ahold of you, right?
As stated they (tech) spotted my milky waste oil right away. Came out and asked if I knew there was a coolant leak. This was in 2018 when they were changing out a lot of shortbl9cks due to scoring on the cylinder walls. I was shocked and when we went and looked I told them it was Cera-Tec. Tech...
