Glad to hear it isn't just me👍 it'll be its first proper road trip during my ownership, I've had it since March last year but owing to me being away and it being plagued with ignition troubles for 6 months I haven't had anywhere near the use I'd have liked out of it. And I go away again for 6...
Attended the Mustang Nationals at Santa Pod today, the weather did spoil proceedings somewhat but for next year they're looking at doing a Saturday too which would probably help with attendance if the weather can play ball too👍 Also booked a few campsites (yes I'm a pikey and a heathen for...
If you buy an H-pipe and axle-backs they're designed to replace sections of the stock system so will just slip onto the remaining bits of that with their supplied clamps after those sections have been cut out. They're really easy to do with a saw and some patience at getting things lined up. FYI...
Hi, I'm the one Liam mentioned in his post with the Borla S-Types. Mine uses the same valve motors and controller as his along with the springs he mentioned (they're bloody expensive for what they are but necessary to operate the valves), but I have 2018+ axle-backs which required some bending...
Not necessarily just done today, but more of an update from the last 6 months or so. Finally found what appears to have been the cause of my engine randomly cutting out with no warning and no fault codes to speak of, an issue that's been plaguing the car since September and was only finally...
They're honestly horrendous. They weren't too bad in the summer, but in these temperatures they're lethal! Only reason they've not been swapped is the cost of new ones and the fact the garage I bought it from had 2 new fronts fitted before I bought it, so I may as well get some use from them.
It's a 2017 build on an 18 plate, so no filters. It's going to Wortec for a tune in January as it threw the engine light after about 60 miles of driving with them, and I may as well get the most out of them🙂
Had ARH catted headers fitted to mine on Tuesday by the wizards at Modurstang. Wasn't going to but the OEM passenger side cat shat its pants and was also blocking the exhaust and causing the engine to cut out/misfire at random, the least fun moment of which was doing it in the fast lane of the...
We used a 5in holesaw to open it up a bit, then a small hacksaw and files to tidy the edges up👍 I've got an MP Concepts diffuser on the way to make it look more like factory fitment, but it isn't too bad for a hack job
Fitted Borla S-Type active axle-backs to go with my Mishimoto H-pipe (and yes the active function is being used despite it being a pre-facelift thanks to some aliexpress motors and controller). Absolutely thunderous with the valves open, but nice and civilised when closed to keep the neighbours...
Added my eBay bargain £23 Bullitt gear knob (f*ck me the old one was hard to twist off) and a Steeda clutch assist spring. Think I want to do a retrimmed steering wheel but after that I'll be relatively content interior wise! Although potentially I may move to an MGW shifter in the longer run if...
I've not taken mine for photos up there yet, but I got some great ones of my old Mini up there. My profile picture was taken on a back road across the fields from Kineton, but Dassett is 100% on the cards at some point. Like you say it's a good place for them, or at least it is when it's quiet!
I'm not too sure to be honest, it is quite thick. I won't know until I drive it though, and with the current temperatures I've got no intention of putting my ass on the leather seat! I had my hand on it for about 3 seconds and had to take it off again it was that hot, so I 100% won't be driving...
I reckon they're easily on par with the OE offering, perhaps slightly better although my OE mats are 4 years old. But they feel nice and thick, stitching looks good and strong so hopefully they won't wear out too quickly!
Mats turned up this morning, so as requested, pics🙂 I have a full set, so fronts, rears and boot floor. Same chap can also do cushions and seat belt pads if you really want them!
Will do👍 I did see a few sets at Santa Pod and they looked top notch, so I'm looking forward to getting mine. If you go on Facebook and search for Harrisons American Custom Mats they have a good few photos of them!
Fitted a Mishimoto H-pipe and Steeda shifter base bushing bracket today. H-pipe has given it a nice rumble although I'm still waiting on the quad tip diffuser to fit my Borla axle-backs to really spice things up, and the shifter bracket has massively improved the feel of shifts. Over the last...
