  1. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

Thanks for the info. So a DW400 pump without a BAP would be sufficient for a fairly conservative level of boost. At what point do people go with double or triple pumps?
  2. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

Chill dude. I'm just trying to gather information on supporting mods because I've never boosted a car before. Some people upgrade fuel systems, some just use a BAP, some probably don't do either. I'm assuming it's dependent on the power levels you're aiming for, but that's why I'm asking because...
  3. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

    You're very helpful. Thanks!
  4. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

I don't have E85 near me unfortunately. I'd like to avoid upgrading fuel systems if I can, and I'd rather dial back the boost than upgrade fuel systems if that's an option.
  5. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

Likely Lund. I haven't ordered anything yet, just trying to answer some questions before I get in over my head. ESS recommends 120mm for gen 2 5.0s. What's the purpose of a BAP?
  6. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

I just see a lot of people upgrading to double or triple pump fuel systems when they go boosted. Trying to understand at what point it's needed.
  7. ESS Centrifugal Mustang Superchargers

Can I run an ESS G3 on a stock fuel system on pump gas? At what point does the fuel system need upgraded? Do I need a fuel pump and/or pump booster, or can I get away without it on 8 psi.
  8. 11 Mustangs that never came to be...

Dang that looks sick! The 71-73 are the least popular body styles. If they looked like that then it would be super popular.
  9. Do I need headers

The only reason I would get headers is for peace of mind knowing I won't grenade my engine in the off chance the cats fail while I'm WOT
  10. New tires?

You gotta be more specific. Continental is a brand that makes dozens of different tires. I would honestly wait to buy new tires until I bought a new set of wheels.
  11. Do I need headers

I've heard you can melt your stock cats and grenade your engine with boost. IDK if that is true so maybe someone can chime in, but I've heard that multiple times.
  12. Why DIDN'T you get a camaro?

I rented a brand new SS 1LE for a 5k mile trip. Things I disliked most were the trunk space and interior. On a road trip with one other person, we had to fill up the back seats with stuff and we didn't bring much. granted it was a convertible, but we could only fit 2 backpacks in the trunk...
  13. Ruby Red bumper repaint looks off at certain angles - advice?

Mine is slightly off as well depending on lighting. When the sun is out you can't tell, but when its cloudy it starts to show.
  14. 11 Mustangs that never came to be...

Ya I think I remember reading that it was supposed to be destroyed but one of the engineers took it and it hasn't been seen since. Would easily be a $5 million car if it was sold. That is why the 69 fastbacks have quarter scoops and not the 70. Those were supposed to be the intakes for the...
  15. 11 Mustangs that never came to be...

Don't forget the mid engine boss 429 prototype or the Boss-Shelby mustang that was never finished due to Carrol Shelby leaving Ford in the middle of the project.
  16. Need suggestions for tires

It is correlated to width. All those things you listed matter too. A proper fitting tire will provide more grip than an identical tire that is either too wide or too slim.
  17. Need suggestions for tires

I am on 20x9.5 and 20x10.5. With your wheel sizes I would personally go 255 front, 295 rear for max grip. You will have diminishing returns in terms of grip going wider than that, but you very well could go wider if you want.
  18. Some help naming the Rims/Tires/Springs on this Mustang S550!!!

I have the same front end on a 17 and I'm lowered on the Ford Performance Track Handling Pack. Was on coilovers before switching to FRP. The 777 front bumper hangs lower than the stock bumper, and lowered an inch you will be hitting curbs if you pull in front first. Best thing to do is always...
  19. Washington *******SOLD******Ford Performance Track Handling Sway Bars

Sorry I just sold them last week. I'll update the post.
  20. Clunking after Vorshlag Camber Plate install - Help wanted!

I figured out the clunk. It was just bad QC from BMR. The spacer between the shaft and bearing was too long. Is it possible to adjust the caster/camber while the suspension is loaded? Or do I need to unload it then guess and check until it’s right?
