I don't want to hijack too bad, but is there a specific reason you guys want to use amsoil? As i understand it, they've switched from using just group iv (full syn pao) base stock to being a belnd with group iii (refined crude). Just trying to get an idea of reasoning.
This question is asked a lot on other kits, but what will the filter placement be like? Will they just be clamped on the compressor inlets or will there be some type of pipe to tuck them up some?
And awesome work/photography!
Just received my shift knob recently... after a 9 month wait. BEWARE.
Sorry for the long post. TLDR at bottom.
This is my second purchase from Anarchy, and both were excessively long waits. The first was a great product though. This one is terrible.
There were plenty of emails back and...
Just imagine with dialed-in VCT and either E-85 or a small meth nozzle. Could be pushing closer to 600. That car will be a monster!
I'm interested in the shift in peak power to the right. Stock dynos show peak somewhere between 7200 and 7500, but this seems to keep pulling through that range...
Thanks! Yeah power adders just create more productive discussions related to fuel and tuning. Plus this is a big group with lots of ideas. The Voodoo reliability seems too hit or miss to throw boost at it for now.
Where is everyone mounting their tanks/pumps? Seems like trunk mounting is ideal...
Not a 5.0 FI owner, but I like lurking this forum.
I'm interested in WMI as a subtitute for race fuel on the stock GT350 tune. With everything stock we don't even get full advance due to the high compression and safe KR.
Before photobucket wrecked everyone, there was a comparison dyno on...
I'm glad Krona is starting to earn a following. It's well deserved; the quality is second to none.
Also note, the new 18 catback should (99% certain) fit the 15-17 with roush valance installed.
Oh man Krona is the best! I had their catback on my 16 GT before trading for the Shelby, and i did a review thread in this section. Its probably well buried by now. Anyways s550hopeful , I watched the video on your IG, and it sounds great, very similar to the 15-17. You're right in saying video...
Slams beer... Glad we could clear things up. Not trying to blast anyone, just wanted to keep any misinformation from spreading and confusing things.
Another option is the Lethal O/R pipes. They're about $450, have flex sections, and retain the dampers. Seems like a decent deal for 10-15 whp...
You're right in a sense, the car isnt tuning itself, but thats where youre also wrong. The stock tune and widebands will maintain the ideal AFR even when headers are added, no lean or rich WOT. In another post i made, i linked another thread with dyno results (not my own) that show an additional...
Screw the low end, Voodoos want to spin. As long as it gains 5k and up we're good. Thats where this engines lives. Any effort to increase low rpm torque would cut the power band short of the big end.
Also that intake looks awesome and pricey
No research needed, this forum has all you need. In the FI section, GT guys run headers with the whipple flare tune despite it being setup for stock headers/cats. No big deal. The rear O2s are just for showing the cats are working (emissions readiness). Spacers/restrictors take care of the...
You dont need a tune with headers. Just run restrictors/spacers on the rear O2s to clear up the cat cel and youre set. AFR is based on upstream wideband sensors, so there is no NEED for tuning.
