Crazy, 2 weeks ago she was in for an oil change and I believe they stated 4 or 5/32 remaining on the rears. She was supposed to rotate every other 5k oil change, but I'm SURE that didn't happen. She may have only rotated 2-3 times over the 40k. I kept them at 32 psi front and 30 rear.
ETA: The...
Thank ya sir.
Yes, that is what I was referring to, sorry if my terminology isn't up to par yet, will get there. Thanks for spelling it out for me.
It's funny I have been thinking the whole time that the Pirelli P Zero Nero had to be made from chunked up unicorn hoofs because they defied...
LOL, someone's triggerd.
On wet asphault w/o Adv Track, yup, she spun right out. Only had that happen one other time, in similar conditions in an F-150 first time out on fresh LS w/ CF clutches and heavy S-spring.
Not street racing, just daily driving and the occasional stop light encounter...
Wifey went from a 2019 EB Premium PP1 to a 2023 GT Premium NPP w/ 3.55 gears.
In the EB, she would keep traction control disabled and would occasionally use Sport mode to zip around. The car was twitchy as hell with very aggressive shift characteristics. The rear end always sliding around while...
Yea, busted it all out of there and cleaned things up a bit w/ some nippers, including the carbon pad. Definitely noticed. Its like doing a K&N drop-in all over again or better.
Same here, I just unmarried the BDX 40490 from our old EB PP and figured I'd eventually use it on the new GT, at least after the 3/36,000, but I see there isn't any SCT canned tune support after 2020 or so. I ASSUME many tuners are still utilizing this platform, but I'm clueless. Curious if...
I noticed this extra filter in the lid when I dropped-in a K&N on our '23 GT the other day. Is it just an EPA mandated thing that couldn't possibly have any impact on the powertrain warranty?
I was going to pop it off to check it out, when I noticed the melt-weld tab. Does the filter panel come...
Just got done reading all of this. It looks like Ford partnered with Nationwide, our provider: https://developer.nationwide.com/case-studies/ford
Wifey got a new 2023 GT and is for whatever reason, STOKED about unlocking via cell phone.
Does this delete option have anything to do...
Well, I was also going to ask another question, but just noticed the tread got bumped out to trans & drivetrain. :\
The GT actually came with a real spare tire, (beefy looking black cast aluminum wheel?) however she is on the P Zero Nero run-flats. Is this just dead weight, or a traction...
I'm not sure how useful we'll find the forward facing adaptive cruise control / self driving mode BS, if it is possible/desirable/valuable enough to remove and sell? lol
I think I read a few yeas ago that Ford can collect speed data and even report it to insurance? Anything to this as well as...
Yea the Torsen will be sorely missed. The LS seems absent so far, at least during break-in restraint. I know it will show up later when needed, but overall the GT feels like a much different car. The EBPP felt light, twitchy, super nimble, and tuner-car / go-kart like, where as the GT to me...
Is there an approximate mileage where people tend to notice its time for a Track Loc rebuild? I know they are cheap, but the killer is labor. We'll definitely miss the Torsen unit, but she's picking up the '23 in about 2 hours, assuming she doesn't HATE the Recaro seats. At least it also has the...
The only thing that scares me about the Torsen, especially potentially in my 63.5, is that I tend to get in the gas again near the apex which is sometimes a really bad idea when it kicks out the rearend even harder, then hooks and launches toward the ditch. ;)
I was using Royal Purple MaxGear which contains the friction modifier and they advised that I do not add the additional Motorcraft friction modifier. It wasn't nearly as aggressive as this Torsen diff seems.
I put the Ford Racing LS Track-Loc w/ carbon fiber clutches and heavy S-spring in an 8.8" diff. in my open diff. F-150 and it was SICK...for about 20k mi., aside from the first rainy morning spin-out, then it wore out and became useless. When wifey got her 2019 EB, we insisted on a Performance...
Took the latest firmware, then pulled vehicle info and reconnected to laptop to pull the tune(s) down. Only seeing ability to adjust octane and shift/rev limits, as well as tire size and diff. ratio.
Once reconnected to the Stanger again, it applied the firmware and took forever to flash, but...
Thanks for sharing! I have run both canned and dyno tunes and was least impressed with the dyno tune after an entire day on the rollers, BUT I had mods that made it a requirement.
Running canned on my Superduty, but eying those $150-200 5Star custom "email tunes" since I have a full CAI on it.
Yea I figure they are having a more difficult time with the EPA than ever before. :\ ...or maybe its unrelated.
I did see that ebay killed off tuner sales on Nov. 22nd. 2022.
