The 18x11’s 52et rub on pedders in the front with the 25mm spacers I have, so I’m trying the 10.5 et50’s. Not sure if that is a better Idea or spacing more and doing more fender work/camber. I’ll probably look at an offset set of coilovers once I work out a few other things.
If it helps, those FlowOne racespec 18x11's and 18x10'5s are stupid onsale on TR still. I just bought two 18x10.5's for $107 per wheel. I'm not sure I couldn't make money on Craigslist re-selling them, except, that's probably why they are on sale, we have the only use case for them.
My S550 weathered my my mid-life crisis, marriage did not, relationship with decade younger attorney girl-friend did not, but she loved my Mustang, and now the same age MD, girlfriend really likes it too(She'd rather drive it to work than my 11' Z4). I'd generally driven BMW's, up until then...
How have people that have done it, feel about going away from the rear divorced spring? Benefits? I'm guessing some weight reduction, and spring change speed, at least.
Also, is it just me, or is the Cortex xtreme-grip, the exact same set as the Shelby doubles, which supposedly are Penske's ...
ahh, right... guess I'll give back those capital gains I made last year on PlugPower. lol. Keep your head in the sand.
Already being piloted by JB Hunt (GM/International), and Daimler-Benz
Seems to be a bit of a lack of grasp here on the recent past. As the economies of scale continue to improve on all things renewable, we're going to see an acceleration of fossil fuel moving out of the market. Embrace this and pay attention, as there is money to be made and/or saved if you do. I...
I may come out and watch, but yes, next year is the target. I just couldn't decide for a long time, and my surprisingly fun, paddle shift auto, 230i, was a really attractive alternative, but would have had trouble in just about any class (d-street, and stx, I think...)
It will be interesting...
I've been hemming and hawwing for, literally, years, about coming back to autocross, but it looks like I may have committed. I just repaired a majority of the issues from a bad day on bad tires at the SA Church lot in 2015, and bought wheels that arrived yesterday, so I guess I've decided I'm...
I ended up replacing the seatbelts, or partially. One from eBay is good, one, also from the same supplier, was the entirely wrong part number and the connector was wrong. I’ll be getting a replacement after the weekend.
And… I guess this became a build thread. Got off my lazy butt and am just about done. Waiting on the airbag module reset(knee bags blew) and install the bumper, and airbags. Installed Pedders coil overs last weekend.
Decided to repair, and have purchased the replacement parts, cut the damaged frame piece out, have a new piece of straight frame that is being grafted on.
Can't decide at this point to keep it and do a thorough Autocross CAM-C build, or see if someone else wants it.
It's a base... 300A, I think ? Beige cloth seats, small display, etc. All I cared that it started 150lbs lighter than a premium.
I'll get more pics up soon.
This is a feeler that will be fleshed in when the title arrives...
2015 Base GT, Manual, 77k with front end damage, from an autocross incident with a wall(was catching boost buggies in STU, and pushed too hard on burnt 275/19's). Knee bags blew, driver side frame crush area needs repairs...
Just FYI, Terry Fair scaled my 2015 base at 3595, bone stock. I'd bet you can go sub 3500, I'd imagine with, exhaust, seats, battery, and rear seat delete on at least that trim and year.
