  1. 2028 Camaro 7th Gen is Coming

Oddly, seems like Toyota trucks are suffering through a similar problem.
  2. 2028 Camaro 7th Gen is Coming

Agreed. The 6.2 failures in the cars are on track though. Where everything is a consumable. The 6.2 in trucks, different story. My point is, the architecture of the motor, how water was designed to flow, how oil returns to the pan, the baffling in the pan, the OPGs, I think GM does a better job...
  3. S550 VS. S650 Body Style

They fixed the headlights, which was my biggest gripe about the S550 Gen II front end. The tail lights are also too small, but I like the shape. I do think the DH and DHSC look good. Personally, I see the Accord front end more than I do anything resembling a Camaro. I think with modern cars they...
  4. GT350 Track Upgrade Suggestions - Road course and Circuit

2nd what HB said. I spent my money on bolt on stuff, and now 90% of it is gone. Sphericals completely transformed my car. The only other suggestion. Go to a less good tire. Something like a 660+ and do some sessions. The less grip will help with shaking out where the car lacks grip, and will...
  5. GT350 Track Upgrade Suggestions - Road course and Circuit

Seat time. Book a bunch of track time. Aside from that, Penske, JRZ, or MCS 2 or 3 ways. But honestly, I wouldn't mess with that until you identify what problem you are solving because that is $6-10k. Is the car pushing? Loose? Not transferring weight? Floaty? Brakes get soft? Something else?
  6. Drilled rotors wanted

You aren't the only one. Lot of guys have really good luck going that route.
  7. Drilled rotors wanted

Get some good drill bits and DIY...way cheaper. You can even wrap the hub with some CF vinyl and really it pop. Sorry, couldn't help myself. If just for looks, I wouldn't mess with anything as pricy as Steeda or Girodisc. Plenty of less expensive street only options out there.
  8. Alternator/Charging Troubleshooting - I promise I searched first

That seems like fairly normal voltage. For my car. If yours was showing 13-14 all the time, I'd assume the battery was dying, maybe a dry cell or something. Basically the car was trying to charge it all the time.
  9. GT350 Track Upgrade Suggestions - Road course and Circuit

What are you trying to solve?
  10. DSC Controller software alternative

Not sure why this got bumped up in my thread, but this is awesome. Wish I had something similar 2 years ago...if I still used my DSC I would be all over this.
  11. DSC Magnaride controller

When are you getting the code? Immediately on start up? Pre start up? After driving a minute or two?
  12. SCCA CAM-C Thread

Not planning on it, but definitely rooting for the S550s! Not that it was high on my list, but I am chasing caribou in Alaska this year. Kind of took up any spare funds. Not to mention our local site got shut down, our committee is struggling to find new locations, and the prospect of pulling a...
  13. 2028 Camaro 7th Gen is Coming

The motors run in, say, the Supercar series don't have issues. The 6.2 in the Camaro is considered pretty reliable by most standards. The 5.5 in the Corvette has held up extremely well too. The only stuff GM does poorly is the AFM, and now the bearings, which aren't limited to the 6.2...
  14. 2028 Camaro 7th Gen is Coming

The z06 is the fpc. So is the GTD car.
  15. 2028 Camaro 7th Gen is Coming

But the motor will be the motor they run in competition. Meaning it will work. It would be nice if Ford would do that instead of just throwing a SC on top and never getting real world mileage on a competition motor. This is why the Corvette track cars are reliable and work, and the GTD isn't...
  16. From Track Prepped GT350R to GT350 Race Car. Why it was the Best Decision for me

Dude...hell of an upgrade, congrats! I'm so jealous about the 18" wheels. Not to mention a cage and a fully built TT car.
  17. From Track Prepped GT350R to GT350 Race Car. Why it was the Best Decision for me

I'm also interested in what you gained. How is the new car prepped? By the way, the R should always stay stock and the 350 be the modded version. In my opinion at least lol
  18. GT350/R Engine Build Date codes

I am. Gave me an excuse to go CPC. Glass half full type of deal lol
  19. Oil Filter Adapter

How is it not one of those photos shows the two parts at the same angle? It's like they tired to make them not easily comparable.
  20. Hood identification help

You're going to have an issue around the fenders on your car. Your stock fenders aren't as wide as Shelby fenders, and the joints won't line up.
