  1. removing mufflers and installing H pipe ?????? Stupid or not ???

Coyotes sound like crap that way, so why make the car stupid loud when it doesn't even sound nice, you piss off everybody, and it's not legal anywhere, is baffling to me. It's a stupid way to attract attention IMO, and I just don't get it, but to each his own, I guess :).
  2. Why the Mach 1 is a bargain....

I don't have a fight here, but any reasonable car person can deduct the Mach1 IS NOT a bargain (at least at MSRP), if you look at what 'bargain' means in any dictionary. So the title of this thread already started on a false premise, so what do you expect? Just fanboy agreement? A lot of that...
  3. 3.73 to 4.88 Gear Swap Problems in 2020 Bullitt

Do you know what are the ratios of the Tremec on Mach1s, compared to the MT82-D4? If they're closer, 4.56 might be a bit much, no?
  4. Anyone tried these tires

The rear ones should be 275/40/19, especially when you kept the front ones stock (255/40/19). It's a substantial decrease in circumference for the electronics, so your ESC (electronic stability control) might go nuts. Will let the experts chime in, but you should have done 285/35 as a minimum...
  5. Replacing Sift Knob

Read many negative reviews at American Muscle, which also has it for $60 something dlls. Some said it was lighter than the regular stock knob, which for sure is lighter than the Bullitt one, so I'm suspecting it's lighter than the Bullitt for sure. But most of the negative reviews were from...
  6. Replacing Sift Knob

Hey, you can't do that; otherwise you'd be able to see the damn nut from the side. Ha ha. The nut ends up INSIDE the locknut cavity. And since it's pretty deep, there's zero issues using the supplied nut. The trick is that the ball touches the locknut like maybe 1/16th of a turn of where you...
  7. In over my head?

Ha ha. I don't get even close to that with the manual Bullitt, but with the Tesla, which is stupid quick, it shoves you into the seat worse than many exotics, and in near silence. Totally different experience, obviously, but it's nice to fly under the radar sometimes :).
  8. Replacing Sift Knob

You don't have to at all. You just put the car in reverse, and thread the knob until it hits the reverse lockout, and undo it from there until the gear letters are correct. You can count how many turns to completely undo it, and that's how much you can turn the locknut, and go from there. I'd...
  9. Car shutting off by itself in Auxillary mode fast

NO, it's not; It turns ignition ON. Can't you see all the idiot lights, and dash, turning on? Just pushing the button is exactly what I do to my car a second or two before cranking the engine (to run diagnostics, and prime fuel pump); starts instantly after that. With 'accessory' mode, nothing...
  10. Bullitt owners - How many are modifying their Bullitt to enhance its performance?

Any news on that front? And may I have first dibs if you want to sell them (hopefully super cheap. Ha ha)? :) Thx.
  11. Forscan EQ disable issue

I had to buy a cheapo unit (with a switch), since the 'official' one wasn't available yet, and zero issues so far. It was recommended by the F150forum back then, and somebody posted exactly the one I got earlier on this thread. But the new 'official' one probably makes more sense now :).
  12. Are some dealers really this stupid?

Oh, and talking about dealer stupidity, many dealers here (TX) do something even worse than slapping a sticker: Drill the front bumper to install a front license plate bracket. And this is even stupider when we're basically neighbors with NM, which doesn't require a front plate. Why not wait...
  13. Replacing Sift Knob

At least reasonable :). By the way, no way in hell I'd use red loctite for that application; blue at the most. But I'd give the locknut a try first, especially if you can sit the knob as low as possible (one turn above where it hits the lockout, like the CJ Pony guy did it).
  14. Car shutting off by itself in Auxillary mode fast

Shouldn't do that with just ignition ON. If you leave doors closed after shutting engine off, you could do that for a few minutes, with way less energy consumption... but still not a good idea if car is going to sit for a while after that. Remember our battery is super marginal for a freaking...
  15. Replacing Sift Knob

Me too :). 'Racing' doesn't really go with my car. Ha ha. CJ Pony has it for $68 shipped...
  16. Car shutting off by itself in Auxillary mode fast

That's ignition ON mode, brother; that can deplete your battery in short order. And if your battery is low (most likely), it'd shut everything off so you can start the engine later, which is probably what is happening. You should NEVER leave ignition on more than just a second or so, before...
  17. Are some dealers really this stupid?

Indeed. I haven't had a front plate for 30+ years here, and never a ticket so far (just warnings), but darn highway state troopers, with apparently nothing better to do, harass me often just for that, and it's annoying. That's why I don't pass them anymore, even if they're going way slower than...
  18. Pennsylvania Ford Racing shift knob

Hey, can you please weigh it??? :) Your wife must have one of those kitchen scales, no? Thx. Oh, and no scratches or any other defects at all? and what you didn't like about it to get rid of it? Thx. I'm not into any of that, but thank you :). Just want a black knob with white lettering and...
  19. Rpm going up and down sounding like it’s cammed

Did you check with FORScan, so you can also read 'soft' DCTs that don't trigger a CEL?
  20. Car shutting off by itself in Auxillary mode fast

What do you mean by 'auxiliary' mode? Mustangs don't have an 'accessory' mode; only ignition ON and OFF. So you probably mean the feature called 'retained accessory power' after you turn the engine OFF, no? THAT can be changed with FORScan. I set it to zero (well, to 0001, since you can't put...
