So you threaded all the bolts, set the top as high as you could, then sank the top bolts in then bottom?
I've been doing the bottom first then trying to get the shock straight before sinking in the top bolts. Maybe I'll try this but I'm sure in the 35 different times I reinstalled...
I've read every single thread on the subject and still cant seem to get a clear answer from them.
Installed Viking Crusader Cruise shocks with the steeda mounts and their adjustable polyurethane bumpstops, and now have a squeak coming from the passenger side rear that sounds like a bird...
Wondering if anyone else shares in this other expensive hobby of mine?
Whatchya playing... pro, pro-am, open/rec, speedball/woodsball?
Current marker setup?
Damn! How loud is it, have you ever driven a car where the belt slipped in the tire? Got a buddy with some wheels you can try on?
P.s. lol get yourself a torque wrench and make sure those axle nuts are 150ftlbs
Going in for emissions testing soon and was wondering if the lund FF tune will pass Illinois standards. Still have cats, stock IM with imrc, only thing added are lu47s and currently on the FF tune for winter.
Idc about swapping back the stock injectors and flashing the stock tune, but would...
It was most noticeable at highway speeds, not really under 40, but mine was loose not shot so at higher speeds is where I heard it clearly.
This is a well known issue with 15-17 no idea if they fixed this with the refresh though. Heres a link that can maybe shed some light on this...
Sounds like it could be a wheel bearing. Jack the car off the ground, and pull hard on each wheel to see if there is any "play" or "wiggle" in the wheel. If the bearings are fine the wheel wont budge, but if one does (usually the rears) take off the wheel, run and grab a 32mm(I think) deep axle...
The reason for not having young kids in the front is because of the force of the airbag can smash their skull. As an EMT I've transferred many kids with varying injuries as a result of airbags.
That being said, I let my 10 y/o son sit up front now, just have the passenger seat pushed back...
I cant hear in the video to clear but what your describing is happening to me. The sound I'm hearing sounds like straight cut gears on a tranny. Thought it was my trans until I turned off my heat and it was gone. Havnt had a chance to really investigate further since its freezing out and car...
Without a tune? Wont adding 20% more ethanol on a stock gas tune cause you to run slightly lean? Driving around you'd probably be fine but at WOT I'd wonder what your lambse and STFT would be.
@EFI
Absolutely as you will not really loose hp/tq whether your at 27* or 30* as it does not make much difference on NA cars.
Although I'm not a engineer and have no idea if the countermeasures of retarding timing is sufficient enough to protect the engine, or at least minimize extra wear and...
After installing the 170* Thermostat this summer my temps are never above 205 in 90* heat, ac on, stop and go traffic. It will usually sit at 195 in the summer.
Right now its winter in chicago and I average between 187* and 190* on the highway.
Simple and cheap mod I recommend for everyone...
Cant hear it in the video really but recently my 16s mt82 started sounding like I have straight cut gears in it. Drives fine, shifts smooth, and shifts at wot without a problem, but just got really noisy all the sudden this winter. I plan on just changing the tranny oil this spring.
Let us...
Sorry I didnt know the exchange rate and taxes are that bad! I love a dude that can make his own work arounds on a project, dying breed I tell you!
With your past experience tuning older ecus mixed with your current understanding of tech, you might want to look into hp tuners and you can do it...
@poncho@home
A tune from any tuning company is going to cost the same whether it's a x4 or ngauge.
Ngauges new are $400 same as x4s, your seeing the ngauge for 700 that includes the tune. Lund will sell you a ngauge with a tune for 570 as long as you dont have extra modifications i.e. intake...
You can update the firmware from your computer which you will have to more than likely. It states its unmarried which is what you want, meaning it's not locked to another vehicle. When you go to buy, plug it in quick to make sure it states unmarried and has at least 1 unlock left, and you should...
@rum_punch_ruby
Thanks for the info, I always thought that law was in effect already. I would assume the tint vinyl from AM would be fine as my tail lights are still bright as fuck. I think this is going to pertain more to the assholes with the dark spray painted ones, but doesnt mean a cop...
